He came out and looked at our old unit and told us (just as 3 others had told us) that we would need to replace this unit soon. So when we got ready to replace the unit this year we again called Coombs. My husband ordered the same unit we had talked about last year but at a lower price. How many appliance people do you know that actually gives you a better price than he quoted a year ago. BRAVO! Coombs. The techs came out and worked steady from about 9AM until after 7PM to get our unit installed in one day. The young men were very professional and polite. The unit was installed and we were sleeping in cool air that night. This morning I went on Angie's List to find a washing machine repair service. I was very happy to see Coombs listed. "Previously, we had hired someone who was not professional and had some issues. We decided to look for somebody who could come out pretty quickly and who seemed to have a better track record. We looked online for reviews, and that is how we found them. They were a little bit pricey but were still very good. It was worth the money in our case. They came and fixed the unit but it broke down again within 24 hours - they had said that it probably would. So then they took all the charges that they had applied for the fixing of the unit and applied it towards the new air conditioning unit. They helped me out a lot. I was sick and newly pregnant, and they even brought me a temporary air conditioner to use in the bedroom for a couple of days. They did a great job. It was definitely pricey. I didn’t know that it was going to be a lot pricier at another place because I think I called around a little too. It is just hard to swallow $6000, no matter who we are giving it to, and I don’t know that it is necessarily them. When they came out the first time, it was in the middle of the night - a Saturday night - and they did charge a little extra for that, but we still got the service immediately. It was worth it. Moreover, it was a tax rebate but we haven’t got the tax rebate yet. We would use them again in the future if necessary."

They were supposed to come out a second time to replace one of my burners but never came back. They have to come back to replace the burner but have not come as of this date."
