"Overall experience was positive. The diagnosis was good and only required a $15 part that was able to install myself. My frig is working great. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. I will be recommending this my family and friends."

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

"I wish I had used these people earlier. I ordered a part for my dryer and was able through their instructional video to fix it myself. Let me tell you I am "mechanically challenged" in just about every way. LOL I may have cut myself through my own stupidity but I did it. it was easy and I did not have to pay a repair man for a simple fix. Thank you so much!"

"Great! The first shelf arrived looking as if a bicycle ran over it and the shelf was broken. I contacted Appliance Zone, they immediately replaced the shelf. The new shelf arrived quickly and I did not have to go through hoops to get it handled, it was wonderful. They even followed up to make sure it went well. Great customer service shows up best when things go wrong. They handled quickly and painlessly. THANKS!!!"

"Fantastic job. Kyle has done other remodeling and repair jobs for us over the years. Several years ago, probably around 7-8 years ago, I called Kyle about replacing our 20 year old (maybe older?) roof. At that time, he said that the roof still had another 5 years or so of good out of it. When we developed a leak after our last big storm, he came and made a quick patch (for free) and gave us an estimate on a total replacement. He replaced our roof and everything was done very professionally and it turned out great. He even repaired a problem on our rafters at no additional cost (something that couldn't be seen at the time of the estimate for replacing the roof). Everything was cleaned up very nicely. We went with a metal roof instead of shingles and we love it. (He was even nice enough to have his workers dig out an old basketball goal that was by the driveway)"

"I called the office and explained the problem.   They took my name and number and assured me that someone would call before they arrived.  They did call.  He assessed the situation and found the problem quickly.  He left to get the parts that he needed.  He returned promptly and repaired the unit.  He also explained the prices of parts etc. <br />"

"They are good. At one point there was an incident that happened and it really upset me. They came the day I needed them to come. I have an ongoing relationship with this company. This is not my first time I had dealt with them, and we?d had some other things, it took me some time. They worked it out so, I don?t want to be critical or anything. (Don?t put this in there please, it?s like they come out to look at something and I asked them if they manufactured something called a mask, which is a metal piece that goes up over my electrical server. The man picked it up and he took it to his company, he was the owner, and I guess he laid it on his desk and then forgot about it. Well, eventually, they threw it away. After I went back several times and called and called and wasn?t able to get ahold of him, this went on for over a year, and I was like okay. Finally, my son went and I was finally able to get ahold of somebody and talk to him again and he realized what had happened and finally, it did take them time, but finally they did make me a new one and they did actually charge me for since I?d been without one for a while. I said over a year, but they picked it up in late Fall of last year, maybe say September/October because it was right after a tree fell on our house in July or end of June. I know they picked it up in that time frame because they came out to look at one of our other A/C units. Then it took them, well, I ain?t had it back that long. They came and put it up and didn?t charge me for it, so I really appreciate the fact that they didn?t charge me I just didn?t like the fact that I had to do without for so long, but in the long run it worked out to my benefit so patience is a virtue as they say). Overall, like I said, they do good service. I will use this provider again. <br />   <br /> <blockquote>       MEMBER DOES NOT WANT INFORMATION IN PARENTHESIS INCLUDED IN THE REVIEW. </blockquote>"

"When the oven broke, Hi Tech got a technician out with a couple hours to look at things. The tech was unable to fix it within a time frame that Hi Tech felt was fast enough so to make sure I wasn't without an oven they simply ordered me a new one. What more can you ask for? There was no "we need to order parts" or "we need to get another tech out who maybe knows more about this model." None of that. They couldn't fix it on the first trip so let's order a new one, take care of the customer, and the contractor can refurbish the original oven on his own time and do with it as he needs. Every time I've contacted Hi Tech they have moved mountains to make sure I'm taken care of...even in cases where their warranty didn't cover whatever was going on they have helped negotiate lower prices and have helped coordinate routine maintenance. This is a big issue that I think a lot of people take for granted. Hi Tech, like any home warranty company, is NOT responsible for routine maintenance. We as homeowners have to take care of our homes, appliances, water heaters, HVAC systems etc. We can't expect Hi Tech to fix issues that are a result of our own lack of maintenance. We have to do our part and I have been incredibly grateful for Hi Tech's willingness to help coordinate that routine service. When it's time to have my HVAC system looked at, I call Hi Tech and they coordinate a service visit. I pay a preferred rate to the contractor and I know that I'm doing my part under the warranty to ensure that if issues do arise I'm covered. There was one issue that was not covered under the warranty because I had not had my HVAC inspected in over a year. In that case, Hi Tech worked with the contractor to 1. get out to my house IMMEDIATELY to address the major issue 2. work with me and the contractor to ensure I was paying the lowest possible price. I've never had a warranty company advocate for me in this way. Most of the time if something isn't covered you get a "sorry we can't help you" kind of response and that's the end of that. Then we're on our own to find a repairman and deal with whatever comes. Not so with Hi Tech. They are with me every step of the way, on the phone coordinating everything between me and the contractors. Of all the companies out there I have found Hi Tech to be the easiest to deal with, the most straightforward and professional, and who have the nicest, hardworking contractors. They even provide a plan that includes basic issues related to the exterior of the home, another plus that distinguishes them from other companies. Again though, don't expect them to replace your roof for you. That's not what they do but if you're maintaining things and you have a covered issue, there will be no problems in working with Hi Tech to address whatever is going on. If it's not covered, expect them to go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need done by honest people you can trust."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Dixie, GA

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
