"The main project (bathroom floor replacement, which was the original reason we hired MTH), and the side projects, went exceptionally well. Serge and Nick did an outstanding job.

Serge was affable and courteous. That was my wife's and my impression of Serge when we first met him. Unlike another contractor we interviewed for the project, Serge never tried to convince us to do more than what we wanted done. We explained to him the repairs that needed to be made, he understood them, and suggested on how best to address them.

The day after our initial meeting, and about a week before the project's start date, Serge emailed to us a contract that spelled out the work required, the cost of labor,  the payment schedule (no payment upfront; in fact, we paid a big chunk, about 40% of the total cost, after the projects were completed), and other terms of the contract. The cost of materials was not stated on the contract, but Serge gave us an estimate during our first meeting. We went over the estimate because of the side projects that we added later.

Serge regularly updated us on their progress and he gave us copies of the receipts for the materials he purchased. We knew where we stood.

The member of Serge's team who did most of the work was Nick. My wife and I were home for the duration of the projects, so we were somewhat aware of what he was working on at any given moment. We often wondered if he took breaks or ate lunch because he was constantly "on the clock." His diligence, and the quality of his work, which was first-rate, were commendable.

Nick did everything: tiling, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, plumbing, molding installation. He was a master of many. He did all those things while keeping the work area, and surrounding parts of the house, clean.

"We hired NY Sash to replace 10 windows in our house. We chose NYSash based on the fantastic bathroom remodel they did several months ago. The process of measuring and ordering was easy. All windows are made to order. When it came time for installation, the lead, Chris, and his team did an excellent job. Chris’ work is meticulous. We had rotted wood once half of the old windows were removed. Totally replaced all of it. The installation is impeccable. We could not have imagined how wonderful they. "I used KWD Electric 2 times in the recent past and was planning to write a review after the 3rd and final visit to my mother's house. The first to jobs went well, one "simple" (replacing 6 outlets) and one "complex" upgrading the service panel plus a couple other items. Ken was late both times and his responsiveness to my initial contact took a little too long but I overlooked that. The 3rd visit he was to replace all switches and outlets in the kitchen (after the renovation). On July 30th Ken's email stated a quote would follow in a  day or two. It is now August 26th and I am still waiting. Needless to say this is very rude and extremely unprofessional.

Update: Ken did apologize for forgetting and stated he would not take on more than he could schedule.

"I needed to remove a 40 year old bathtub & install a shower I also needed the flooring replace in the bath area & dressing room. Initially, I wasn't sure about using Remodel USA due to some of the reviews. I met with the representative & when I saw the quality product (Kohler), was able to select what I wanted & have a flexible timeline for work & payments... I was glad I selected this company. I had 1 glitch as the installed shower door was not the 1 I selected. The Project Manager noted the error, obtained the correct door & it was installed. The workmanship is very good & I appreciated the conscientious skills of Edgar, his assistant, Salvador & his wife. The project manager, Percy Melendez, was professional & reassuring regarding the workmanship & product. I am very pleased with the overall experience of working with Remodel USA.
