They were on time, professional and when the job called for more than what was on our agreement, they just did it without asking for more money or time. They did what was right to stabilize my hill. Additionally, the project was challenging as there was a small space to work and a huge hill. They took on the challenge! It looks so fantastic. They scraped up my existing paver patio a little and instead of just turning the bricks over they put in all new.... I also got a whole new paver patio - WOW! "This was my third time working with this contractor and each project was a pleasurable experience! As was the case with the other two, they started this project on time and finished on time! All the work was done according to strict Mount Lebanon code. They made suggestions based upon their experience i.e we wanted a six foot high shadow box fence but while Mount Lebanon code allows for a six foot high privacy fence of just about any style, they do not allow, by code, a six foot high shadowbox fence. Steve Hilpert proceeded to build us a 4 foot high shadowbox fence (the maximum height allowed by code) with a custom built 2 foot high trellis section which Mount Lebanon subsequently approved. The fence looks beautiful!
I was nervous about cutting a big hole in the wall of our addition to install the sliding glass door. Now the door looks like it has been there all along! It came out PERFECTLY!
The deck is also beautiful and solid as a rock! We had an issue with the location of our two central air conditioning units off the back of the house. The other contractors (which I found here on Angie's List as well) said they would just build over these units. Not knowing anything about central air conditioning this seemed reasonable to me. Steve was the ONLY contractor who told me that you absolutely CAN NOT block the air flow above the units! Not only that, he was honest enough to tell me that moving the units should be done by a qualified HVAC contractor. Now that is a contractor you can trust!
All work was completed on time and within budget. The same crew arrived early each day and were polite and professional. The job site was spotless at the end of each day!

We worked with Noelle to purchase new cabinets and counter tops and the process was extremely smooth and professional. They even made recommendations that helped us make the best use of the space and gain some additional storage. Installation happened on schedule and they even worked with us to get the project completed in a compressed time frame. When there was an issue with the original granite we ordered, Noelle quickly worked with the supplier to get us an option that was even nicer without additional cost."

"Our old house on the Northside of Pittsburgh was in need of an exterior facelift and a new front porch to replace the one that had collapsed. I met with Dave LaBovick of Exceptional Exteriors and we agreed upon a price, which my wife and I found quite reasonable. The work on the vinyl siding began about a week later and took only a half a day to wrap up. The job was done to our complete satisfaction, The before and after is like night and day. Another crew arrived a few days later to do the porch and sidewalk. They began work on a Thursday afternoon and were finished 24 hours later. Once again, we are very happy with the result. In both cases, they removed all debris and left-over building materials associated with the job. We are not only completely satisfied with the work that Exceptional Exteriors did for us, we are looking forward to hiring them again for our next home project."

"We needed our roof changed and took estimates from few contractors. AMC provided us the best estimate and were very flexible in scheduling the job. Their team were prompt and completed the job professionally. They cleaned up very well after the job was completed and walked around the house 2-3 times to make sure no nails or stuff were left behind. The roof looks real good. Drew and Nick (their supervisor) were very nice to talk to."

"During a day when everyone in Pittsburgh was having a leak, they were the only ones to call me back. They came that afternoon to stop the leak and rip out the small area of dry wall. They replaced the part of the roof that needed to be fixed within a week and also repaired the affected area inside the house within a week. I had to call them a few times to remind them to come back to finish the work, but the owner was very sick, so he had a good reason. The job was reasonably priced and they did an A+ job. Highly recommend.
