"Our house is 90 years old so we weren't aware of what was behind our walls until Don began his work. After the dividing wall was knocked down and the kitchen and dining room walls were demolished, we found several critical issues. The electric was the old knob and tubing that had to be replaced. We had no insulation in our walls! There were no support beams over our kitchen door, kitchen window, and both sets of windows in our living room. After explaining all the issues and their consequences, Don did all the necessary work to insure our home was warmer and more sturdy. The township inspector saw what was there and said he was glad Don did the appropriate repairs because he would not have been able to sign off on the structural  and electrical aspects. <br /> In the process, Don fixed our bathroom plumbing so our tub drained correctly and our leaks in the basement. He is a carpenter by trade but he has mastered so many aspects of remolding (plumbing, electrical, granite and cabinet installation, lighting, etc.) His suggestions, explanations of different ways to solve concerns made this whole remodeling process a positive learning experience for us. The result is a fabulous kitchen/dining room space we are so proud of. We are now planning to have Don continue his work by doing our living room also in May. <br /> This is the note we gave Don when the work was done: <br /> "We are so appreciative of the work that you did on our home.
