"Carpet Fair has been installing quality carpet in my various apartments and home for the past 15 years. They have installed carpet in three different apartments per year over that period. I've branched out with the Home Depot and additional carpet businesses from time to time, but no beats these guys in terms of response and installation time, price, and especially customer service (which is almost non existent with the Depot). Mark usually has the installation completed within a day or two of the order. I highly recommend for you home office or business.  "

"Where do I start!? From start to finish Sam and his associates were great. Professional from start to finish, offered me various styles of carpet within my price range, expedited the install on short notice and the price was definiteky right. I can tell he takes pride in his business and assures quality work. He definitely delivered! And we will absolutely be using his business for the rest of the floor work in my mother-in-law's home. If it wasn't for Angie's list I never would have found this place. I recommend Roman's. Trust me, I'm picky. Lol <br />"

"LLB installed luxury vinyl plank for entire first floor, stairs, and upstairs hallway (approx. 1400 sq ft). Bekar (sales) was helpful in deciding flooring type and did not use any pressure tactics. Quote was received same day as his on-site visit. Work started within one week of quote and only took 2.5 days. The two installers from LLB were professional and hard-working. Would definitely hire again for future flooring projects."

"The guys at Carpet Warehouse were fantastic to work with. We were moving into a new home and had a week between settlement and our move-in date, and we wanted all work completed before the movers arrived. (Much easier to install new carpet in an empty home.) Mike at Carpet Warehouse understood our timeline, made recommendations for carpet he knew they had in stock or would be able to get quickly, and provided us with great options. The installers showed up on time, were professional, and did a great job. The cost was competitive. I would definitely use these guys again."

"The actual carpet cleaner did a great job but the owner stated a window time between 10-1. Furniture was moved into other rooms however he kept delaying the time. He called several times that day to delay than last call was to ask if I wanted to do it another day. I replied no, since furniture was moved. The carpet cleaner came late and the owner refused to give a discount stating I already received 1 for room deodorizer which would smell great. There carpet was clean but there was no "great" smell."

"I would recommend this company.  Installation was very quick and well done.  The carpet quality is excellent.  Customer service is very good - they helped us select a carpet type that met our need (i.e., low traffic room).  Would use these guys again in the future. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Doylestown, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
