"Above All Chimney gets an A+ for being No. 1 Jerks! <br /> The property service is a rental. My property manager contacted them, verified insurance and license, ensured they knew that we needed a detailed invoice and agreed to pay them the day work was to be completed. The worker was punctual, did the work we asked for and supplied an invoice with zero detail (minor issue). <br /> Since my property manager was not able to oversee the work, I called them up personally to ask them to give me one day to verify that the work was completed. This inquiry immediately triggered the worker to raise his voice to me demanding that I pay him immediately without verifying that the work was completed. I hung up on him right away (yelling at me is unacceptable). He called back and I explained to him that he has no right to yell at me - especially since I am a new customer. He exclaimed that he had been jerked around before, and I explained to him that I should not be treated poorly due to the behaviors of his other customers. He then proceeded to threaten to go back to my property to remove the work that he completed. I told him that if that is his priority, then he should do so. <br /> I provided a compromise: I would pay him half today, verify the work, then pay the remaining due tomorrow. No go on that suggestion. Ultimately after 30 minutes he agreed to my first request... to wait ONE DAY to pay him - but only if I called them prior to 2pm the following day. <br /> Price was affordable regarding travel, parts, climbing the roof, installation... He received a 'C' for not providing an estimate and detailed invoice. <br /> Quality of the work gets an 'NA' since my only verification of the work is a photo from the street that a tenant provided me. <br /> Responsiveness - 'A' <br /> Punctuality - 'A' <br /> PROFESSIONALISM - 'F' <br /> The receptionist gets an A+ - She was courteous to both myself and my Manager. <br /> I DO NOT recommend this service provider. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I called and they were able to get me in within 2wks of my call. Service associate called to let me know he was on his way, and then arrived within the service window. He was very clean by putting down drop cloths and running his shopvac the entire time to capture all dust. He completed the entire cleaning in less than 30min. He was the same associate that cleaned my chimney last year...very professional and polite. I will definitely be hiring E&E for years to come."

"These guys were a pleasure to work with. They were responsive, clean, and knowledgeable. The lead (whose name I can't remember--sorry!) actually drew me a detailed picture on a box of what my weird, misshaped chimney flue looked like to explain what work would be necessary to bring the fireplace chimney up to code and render it safe to use. We ultimately chose not to have that work done because we were not likely to use the fireplace at all, and the cost would have been prohibitive for something we'd never use. We had them install a chimney cap to keep the critters and debris out and fill some cracks in the hearth, and called it a day for that work. But the furnace flue also needed work done to make it safe. They needed to actually break through the concrete wall to do it, and that work was done on our new house just when the painters were doing their job, so I was concerned that they would either get in each other's way, or the paint might be damaged, or both. But it was not a problem, and they worked so fast and cleanly it was not an issue. Hopefully we won't have any reason to have them come out again (since we're not using the fireplace), but if I did, I'd call them again for sure."
