"I had a contract to replace all the windows and doors in my home except the sliding glass patio doors because I had already purchased them elsewhere. This company was gracious enough to install them for free even though it was not their product! They even went the extra mile and clad all my exterior wood trim in aluminum, so that I wouldn't have to paint it ever and so that it matched the rest of their installs! Definitely a class outfit!!!"

"I hired Blue Ribbon Exteriors for a complete home exterior overhaul. Evan Taylor (owner) was great to work with and was flexible with me as I added additional work to the project. The roofing crew worked efficiently despite the heat and completed the job on time. The siding and other exterior projects were completed by a hard working experienced crew. Evan was always quick to communicate with me concerning any delays or issues. The work completed looks great and I would hire them again!"

"I called Jonathan on a Monday morning and he returned my call the same day, and came out the next day to look at the job and provide a quote.  I accepted his bid and he got started the next day.   He provided thorough information about the various product options. The craftsmanship of the new boardwalk is so much better than what was there before. He did quality work in the time promised and cleaned up completely after the job was finished. I was very pleased and will have him back to do the next phase of our decking replacement when the time comes.

"Terry gave us a great price. We can’t believe how strong our new door is. It’s definitely a lot better than the Lowe’s and Home Depot doors we looked at. Installers were great. They were polite and cleaned up well. Thank you Window Nation for the great experience. I highly recommend you guys."

"I emailed C3 Roofing and Remodeling after a storm damaged my roof, as the company was recommended by a friend. From temporarily patching to eventually replacing the roof I was kept informed about each step. The company and crew were hard working and extremely polite. What could have been a very stressful situation was made easier by Nick, the person I dealt with most. He was knowledgeable and helped me work with the insurance company. I couldn’t have been more pleased or impressed and would happily recommend this company."

FAQs for storm door installation projects in East Berlin, PA

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
