"Fantastic! It’s been about 2 weeks since we received our mold removal and treatment service from My Pure Environment. Our bathroom looks and feels great! We have a much easier time maintaining its cleanliness now that MPE has taken care of the mold issue. With 2 under 2 in our household, we are so happy to finally let them bathe in the tub without fear of mold toxicity! 10/10 would recommend and hire again!"

"The company replied quickly with an initial quote. Of the three companies replying, Indoor Doctor was able to send a tech out the same day to perform inspections, testing and provide answers to my many questions. The tech was very professional, courteous, etc. Indoor Doctors provided an initial quote of $199 for the visit, which only covers the visit and inspection. They break down the separate fees for each test beyond the $199 inspection. There is a separate charge for each sample test. Mold test and allergen test from the same location are considered two tests and charged accordingly. Their pricing was competitive. Their ability to come out the same day was what sold us on Indoor Doctor. "

"Dave came by and tested for mold with this cheap test kit. He tested with my test kit even though he didn't think they were an accurate method. He proceed to do his own thorough assessment and did not see any signs of mold. When he concluded his visit without charging me anything! And that is so unusual these days! A+"

"Jeff is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about indoor air quality. I was very nervous about spending so much money on an indoor air quality investigation, and due to the severity of the allergies I had developed, and the fact he came highly recommended by my allergist, I decided to hire him. He ended up being worth every penny. He spent 5 hours at our house, thoroughly taking samples from various places in the home (think it was 15 samples total), answering our questions, and providing recommendations on lots of things he observed as he went through the house (e.g. cleaning of the radiators, running a dehumidifier in our basement, etc.). Jeff called me the next day to report the key findings (he found several different kinds of mold spores coming out of the vent of the central a.c. system and low mold growth in the basement carpet). I then received a very detailed, thorough report of all his findings with lots of information and recommendations that was extremely helpful. It took us 8 months to figure out what to do with the 5 year old central a.c. system that had mold in the air handler and line up a contractor who would install exactly what we wanted for the new a.c. system (the previous homeowners had installed it in a location that made it extremely difficult to service and we couldn't even access it ourselves to visually see the mold Jeff had reported so we had to trust his test results and figure out a path forward). Over that time, we reached out to Jeff with lots of questions and he was responsive every time which was extremely helpful, it felt like we had a partner helping us to resolve the mold issues rather than "going it alone". The new a.c. installation was just completed last week and sure enough, when the existing air handler was removed from the house and opened up, there was mold in it (even though all the previous a.c. service guys told me they didn't see any mold in the unit). We are so grateful to Jeff for his help, knowledge, and patience in helping us create a healthier home!"

"Jeff is really awesome. He?s incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of mold and other contaminants, extremely generous with his time and advice, and generates total confidence in his work and results. First, he came to test certain rooms and provided test results along with recommended remediation steps. Note the Indoor Doctor does not do remediation, only testing. This gave both me and my insurance company confidence in his report. He then came back because a remediation company claimed I needed far more work than Jeff had recommended. He re-tested and found that I did not need that work, which saved thousands of dollars, an enormous amount of time, and the huge headaches of dealing with extensive demolition! After the remediation was done, he came back and re-tested, and found that the attic needed further remediation work, which the remediation company did without additional cost because Jeff?s report was clear and the remediation company knew his reputation to be stellar. During this entire process, Jeff answered the many question I had kindly, quickly and fully. Later, when my insurance company gave me a hard time about some of the steps the remediation company took, Jeff provided the documentation showing those steps ? which were recommended in his report ? were standard IICRC protocols, which helped enormously in communicating effectively with the insurance company. In sum, this was a soup to nuts service, thorough and complete testing and analysis that was both impeccable and trustworthy. <br />   <br /> I recommend Jeff and Indoor Doctor most highly to anyone who has any concerns about mold or other contaminants in their home. It?s fully worth the cost of having the Indoor Doctor do the testing rather than relying on a remediation company ? even if the remediation company says they?ll do the analysis free.  My strong advice, based on experience, is to get the Indoor Doctor to do it. You?ll save plenty in the long run, you?ll have complete confidence in the results, and have a thoroughly knowledgeable expert as an ally. With mold and other contaminants it?s just not worth trying to cut costs by getting anyone else to do the testing. <br />   <br />"

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in East Kingston, NH

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
