"Work agreed to: 1) level a slope, 2) build stone patio, 3) install fence. Period of performance told by the contractor was 5 days to a week and a half. Work started May 16. By June 3 project was not half complete. Contractor delivered pile of dirt and pile of gravel and railroad ties for retaining walls. Contractor did some work. If reasons given were accurate, then some missing days for medial were reasonable but after three weeks there were several issues: 1) the work was only about halfway complete after three weeks, 2) the slope remained which can't be used since it's needed for a shed, bee hives, and raised beds, 3) the rear retaining wall was already leaning and losing dirt from only one rain. With these concerns I consulted two other landscapers who immediately identified problems with the wall as well as the slope, that it would not hold through one winter. In addition, contractor may not have contacted Digsafe, public utilities, and city public works for permission to proceed with any excavation. I have a lot more details including inconsistent texts"

"In summary I have to say Richard was  excellent!  He came when he said he would and finished the work when he said it would be finished.  As I solicited multiple bids for the work NE Renovations was among the most competitive.  As the work was completed I was so pleased I ended requesting he come back to do additional jobs.  He was very accomadating and even explained various options on how best to accomplish the additional work.

"Showed up at  the appointed time for the estimate, spent much more time than other contractors looking over and measuring the house and roof, All the while explaining to me what he saw and what he recommended.  He Even returned a few days later to take some additional measurements.  His estimate was mid point of three that I had recieved and work began first week of June.  Job took longer then expected but mainly delayed due to weather.  He and his crew were onsite every morning and went straight to task.  As the siding and roof were removed, Some serious structural issues were found.  These he brought to my attention immediately along with recommendations.  IU had also asked that while roofing, He check and reinsulate the roof ( cathedral ceiling) and Install two vented Skylights. This was done above and beyond the original quote . The work done by Larry and his crew was TOP notch and Very  very detail orientated.  When the job was finished, his crew cleaned up to the point you would never have known they were here.  WOuld Highly recommend LH Construction for any contstruction needs, and Definately plan on using him again. "

"The Bog Hill team was tremendously professional, responsive and knowledgeable. They quickly removed our old farmhouse porch, which had become a safety hazard, and replaced it with a beautiful landing and staircase. They also took the time to repair issues from previous work done by another carpenter who had not finished and took care of all of the final touches, such as installing new light fixtures over the porch, putting up new gutters, and finding a PERFECT paint match for the replaced siding. The entire team was courteous and flexible, keeping in mind that we have toddlers and dogs. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of home repairs, upgrades, or any other projects. We ll definitely be calling them again for future home improvements!"

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."
