It was a big, messy job to grind off 10+ layers of old, peeling paint from concrete flooring/steps and sandstone "caps" on the brick "pony" walls that surround the porch. "The owner scheduled a time shortly after my original call and came as scheduled. However, whereas the three other providers who came to evaluate this job stayed for 45 mins to an hour, he was at my home for at most 15 mins, and would have been gone even quicker if I hadn't done my best to think of questions to ask him. Of the four providers who evaluated this job, three said that our back porch only needs repair, and does not need to be replaced (including one provider who was not interested in doing the repair himself). This provider took one very quick glance at the porch and insisted that it would have to be replaced -- obviously a considerably more expensive proposition than a repair. We did not hire this company for the work."
