"Bought a studio condo that needed a lot of work. So happy we found Joe / Pride Services via Angie's List. He totally lived up to the stellar reviews that many have left. He scheduled a review of the unit the day after we called him, was on time, and was extremely thorough in his review of the work to be done as well as the estimates provided. The work began a week later and could not be happier. He completed the following: 1. Patched and painted the ceilings and walls, as well as painted all the trim/base boards (multiple coats). 2. Installed a new vanity/sink/faucet/drain in the bathroom. 3. Installed new closet doors. 4. Installed new 2" blinds in all windows. 5. Painted metal backsplash behind the oven. 6. Installed new base boards in closets and bathroom. The unit looks fantastic and the work was done on schedule. We will definitely be using Joe / Pride Services again in the future. "Started the job. Got money to start and wouldn't come for months. Gave picture of bathroom tile and how it was to be laid. Didn't pick up at all like it was to be laid. He didn't remove a pipe from the roof, so water leaked in, soaked the insulation and left a water stain on the ceiling. I would never recommend him to anybody. I really trusted the guy. A true rip off."

"The job(s) went fantastic, start to finish. Bruce was responsive to my call, came out to look at the issues within a few days, and left a written estimate that same day. Originally he had said he could do the work in mid-September, but he found some time on a weekend in early August. Bruce replaced the door assembly hardware, planed the bottom of the back door, repainted the areas that needed painting, and he pointed out a couple of other small issues related to a rear gutter and window sill that will need repair. Bruce was knowledgable, soft-spoken, and he worked diligently. We will have him back next month to repair the issues he pointed out to us. Yes, we will definitely hire Bruce again -- and we did! Note -- Angie's List has many companies listed under "Handymen," but only a few truly fit the bill. Many of the providers I called were only interested in large jobs or remodeling/reconstruction projects. Bruce is a true handyman, and is worth the wait for his services."

"Within 48 hours of our contacting United Freight, the car was picked up at a convenient location. The driver responded to all of our calls and dropped the car off within the range of dates selected. Very professional at loading and unloading. No damage to the car that we could find. Very happy with the service. We had first tried another brokerage but after a month they still had not found a driver to transport the car. The United Freight rep was very clear about how the process works."

"Rich was scheduled to come on a Friday afternoon.  He was several hours late because of an emergency that absorbed most of his work time that day.  He did stop in long enough to evaluate the problem and make sure the door was functional--the fact that he stopped by at all on a very difficult day was, to me, above and beyond the call of duty.  We agreed on the work to be done.  He returned the following Tuesday and did a complete overhaul of the garage door opening system, which had not been serviced in 15 years.  One of the cables had broken, and my husband did his best to repair it, but ran into trouble without the right length of cable.  Joe set everything to rights.  I am very pleased with his service and his professionalism, under difficult circumstances. The door is working smoothly, and I will be sure to call Rich the next time I need to have the door serviced.  I am a very satisfied customer. <br />"

"I initially contacted C&J Home Services for gutter cleaning, but when Jose and his team were here, we discussed other problems/issues I was having around the house. Jose is very good at diagnosing the source of problems and offering cost-efficient ways to solve them. He took care of several of my problems at the same appointment even though he had just heard about them. A gutter on the 2nd story of my house had one downspout that drained into a smaller gutter on the annex below it, causing it to overflow badly during heavy rainfalls or melting snow. The solution was to add another side downspout from the top gutter to siphon off some of the water. Jose went immediately to the local Home Depot and came back and installed a new downspout. I've had no overflow since. On another part of the house, he re-attached a piece of siding that had come off and then figured out a way to seal the leaks from my kitchen fan vent. In addition, he identified the sources of a window leak and an attic draft to be resolved at a later date. (Other contractors I'd spoken with had not figured it out). He noticed some rips on the annex roof, took photos to show me, and sent a proposal to fix it. BTW, the gutter cleaning was perfect. Jose is a pleasure to work with. He's punctual, responsive, goes above and beyond, and he's good at what he does. I will definitely contact him to do additional work for me."
