"We had a new kitchen installed by a general contractor.  The "new" recessed lights were flickering. The electrician used by the contractor came back but could not identify any issues. The problem continued so we contacted Ruban to get a second opinion.  Dale called back almost immediately and came out the same night.  He spent 2 hours checking and fixing improper wiring.  He advised that our ceiling fan and cable box were connected to a dimmer which is not acceptable.  The fan was brand new and was very loud.  The improper connection was causing the noise.  A wire had a loose connection and no neutral wire existed.  He corrected the problem and took the time to check another switch in another room (also done by the same contractor).  This was also done wrong and identified as a fire hazard.  Dale is coming back to fix that switch next week.  Our lights work and we can use our ceiling fan without the noise.  We are confident that after Dale is finished, we will sleep much better knowing our house is safe.  We were so impressed with the quick response and the amount of time spent checking everything.   He took the time to explain what he found and what needed to be done.  I would definitely recommend this electrician and will use them again.

"The ceiling fan light was quickly fixed. The outside outlets were replaced, but did not provide power to the pond . When the electrician left, it was my understanding that the underground wire needed to be replaced between the outside outlets. This would require digging a trench to get to the underground wire That turned out to NOT be needed and once the new outlet providing power was properly wired by my brother, power was on! The electrician and Virginia (an owner) were professional. Virginia refunded the full payment quickly and offered other services for free due to my experience. She was the reason the rating was not D or F. I would use Wire Wiz in the future based upon Virginia's handling of the situation."

"Being an electrician first, he put many new outlets in my house and fixed dead outlets. He also ordered and picked up special electrical parts to fix my outlet box. Moving into a new house, I also needed many handyman type things done including: new locks and door knobs put on several doors, ceiling fan installed, multiple flat screens hung on walls and many large and small pictures hung. When things got tricky, he methodically thought through another way to make it work. He also explained things well to me on the phone and in person. "I contracted for two hours of labor using the contractor's special Angie's List deal. I hoped to have two projects completed within that timeframe.  Ceiling fan took entire two hours to install, so only one of two projects was done.  Additional materials were needed for ceiling fan installation, which contractor had on hand (at additional charge).  Contractor was pleasant, professional, and clean.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
