"I want to start with the fact that this review is over a year old and with time I remain very happy with the services I was provided. Overall Danny was very professional. Quality of work was very good. The price was fair. Danny stands by his work and now I suspect it is cause it was done right from the start. This job was extensive requiring tearing down the shower to what studs were salvageable and concrete. New custom cabinets, countertops, vessel sinks, standalone tub, lighted mirrors, added heater and exhaust, as well as additional lighting. Of course all the tile was done throughout and toilet replace. He even made a custom very solid barn style door where none existed into our master bedroom. After interviewing 6 contractors for this job I am glad we chose D.R. and he is the first person we call when we are ready for our kitchen remodel. BTW he helped us with obtaining financing. He took disbursement of funds based on work completion level all spelled out contractually. Have recommended him to any of our friends who have asked."

"Excellent .. communication, contract, explaining how it worked as I had never had to use a transport/carrier before. This was a very positive experience & wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend this company. I appreciate Guy walking me through the process of getting my Mom's car back to NY & Val who was the transport driver & delivered the car. A+++++ service"

"Ed worked carefully with us to identify all our needs and provided a very reasonable estimate for the list of fixes and general repairs we needed. Keith and Junior arrived promptly on the agreed date and did high-quality work. We would (and likely will) call upon them again for additional work."

"I was very disappointed with them. They were overpriced and were difficult to get hold of. I wouldn't call them or recommend them to any of my friends. They gave me a high price. I had two other estimates. There was a lot of damage than I originally thought. Anything, they would have done, would have been just cosmetic and wouldn't have taken care of the problem."

"Mr. McNellis was really nice and was able to come out right away to assess our repair needs. He gave a really fair quote and even broke it down for us so we could see exactly where the money was going. He then was also able to get the job done within the next week and had his guy, Enrique, come out and do the work. Enrique was equally as nice and did an awesome job matching the grout and caulk to the existing color. It only took him a few hours and afterwards it was like he wasn't even there (well with an exception of the fixed grout and seams) ! The bathroom was cleaned up with no dust or dirt residue. It was great working with both Mr. McNellis and Enrique and I look forward to working with them again soon."

"Mr. Bailey responded promptly when I left a message to schedule an appointment. He was actually a little early, completed the work promptly and to my satisfaction, answered all my questions, explained everything he was doing, offered information, and provided a referral for work he does not do. I have been using him for about 15 years and he is always prompt, professional, pleasant, efficient, and his prices are reasonable. He communicates well, does not pressure you, and does not overstate his ability. I feel he has always been completely honest with me. He has serviced my heating and cooling systems, installed security lights, a dishwasher, ceiling fans, garbage disposal, security door, plus repaired or replaced a myriad of other things that break around a house. I usually have a list for him when he comes and he never complains. He was referred to my sister by a friend years ago and she and I have used him ever since plus I have referred him to my friends and have always had a good report from them. I feel I always get what I pay for."

"<p>That was great, very good. He came with a huge ladder. He told me husband he could use the same piece since it was in good condition. He did not try to sell anything. He offered to clean the gutters since he was already there but my husband said no. They were good, on time, and did a good job. He was good, it looked like nothing happened. My husband was happy.</p>"

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in El Paso, TX

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
