That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. He answered all my questions and respected my timeline and need to gather other quotes.  I was especially grateful for Rob's detailed explanation for his approach to our roofing needs.
In the end we did not go with Deans, but only because we opted for a different approach to redo the flat part of the roof.  The Deans price estimate was on the lower end of 4 that we received, and was definitely reasonable.
I am keeping their name and number for future construction and repair needs.
