When we met with Drago and Dave, partners in this company, they told us it would take about two weeks before the cabinets were ready. We could not believe this after a well-known home improvement center had told us it would take two months. True to their word, the cabinets were here in two weeks. It took them three days to complete the demolition of the old cabinets and complete installation of the new ones. In addition to the quality of their workmanship, you will not meet two more friendly, honest and courteous people. "I got a quote from Ray Hoover after seeing his work in my friends' house. His price for top quality, true custom cabinetry was comparable to the price for upgraded cabs from a big-box store, and much less than other semi-custom quotes. I knew his quality would be superb, and it was. He worked with me, making changes I requested to my design right up until he started building the cabinets. The cabinets were installed in one day, on the exact day he had scheduled. Ray is scrupulously punctual and professional. He came back and fixed a couple of little dings with no question or complaint. If you are looking at new cabinets or bookcases, and you live anywhere within driving distance of Penn Yan, you owe it to yourself to visit his showroom, see his work and get a quote from him. "We were looking for an auto transporter to transfer an older (not classic) car from Virginia to Nevada. We did our due diligence and researched the potential companies that could complete the task in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Three providers were interviewed and quotes were obtained and, interestingly, we found that there was considerable differences in the information that was given and the commitments that were made. We delayed contacting Auto Transporters Online for over a week, cutting into "our timeline" significantly as the expense for the transport had three tiers of cost options, even though the lowest tier was comparable to the competitors. From the reviews read, Auto Transporters Online was a smaller company and there were less reviews posted on Angie's List and BBB. As it turned out, we should have gone with the initial "gut instinct" from the beginning and chosen Auto Transporters Online and saved ourselves from the resulting stress. This may be a small company in comparison to others, but this company offers a personalized touch and pride in a job well done, offering a true customer service model.  <br /> Our situation was apparently somewhat unique in that we wanted to ship the car from Virginia and have it arrive in Nevada at the same time (or a day or two later) that we arrived in Nevada (driving a second car). We were relocating and did not have a designated person to ship the car from Virginia or receive the car in Nevada other than ourselves so the timeline of travel was our limiting factor. The week of research (and frustration) had us at wit's end and ready to call it quits and look for an alternative method of getting both cars to Nevada.  <br /> Dave Miller was contacted by phone on the evening of May 11th and reacquainted him with our situation and the quote that he had provided over a week before and options available were discussed in detail. Dave was understanding of the situation and told us what he could and could not accomplish. He was personable, courteous and professional. We made the commitment and forwarded the paperwork to him that evening. By the time, we awoke and checked email the next morning, Dave had a potential driver that could pick the car up on the 12th (that day) and deliver it to Nevada within the time period desired with a 2 day flexible window. This was perfect! <br /> The car was prepared and picked up on the 12th of May from Virginia and delivered the 20th in Northern Nevada. There were no issues upon delivery. Contact with the driver and Dave Miller occurred throughout the 9 day period, either by phone or by email. <br /> We are very happy with the service provided by Auto Transporters Online and would not hesitate to contact them again. Dave Miller is trustworthy, personable, committed and professional. He provided exemplary customer service at a time when customer service is a misunderstood concept and delivered by very few. After checking with several large suppliers, we found that either we didn't like the material they used or they were unable to make the large cabinets that we wanted. North Country Millworks in Massena N.Y. hand crafted everything just the way we wanted out of solid wood. The workmanship was excellent and of the finest quality. "From the time that I first contacted Phylis to the time that the job was completed, Phylis always proved to be the consummate professional: on time, accurate, tasteful, and also worked with a sense of humor. The only things that she could NOT help me with were if I wanted vinyl floor covering to be replaced (I picked that out with another local vendor). Phylis came to the house, took all measurements of the room and its built-ins, and then was able to advise what to replace things with. I never felt that she was strongarming me to do anything I didn't want to do; I already had a feel for what I wanted and she helped to refine that idea for me. I also found it extremely helpful to have someone herself with years of construction experience to do all the ordering, etc. of merchandise. She went through catalogs and I met her at the store and saw some samples, and what wasn't there was able to look at catalogs. Items were presented within several price ranges, and when I indicated something that she hadn't marked, she might be able to tell me the pros and cons of that item. Anyway, I ordered my new tub, corian tub surround, corian vanity top and inclusive sink, toilet (had to fit within a small space) and all hardware and light fixtures from Builders Best, and what was so wonderful is that she was able to work directly with my contractor to ensure everything was delivered when he needed it, and I didn't have a garage-full of items that were going to sit around forever until used. Then after the job Phylis came out to see how the contractor had done, and also called me to thank me for the business. She beat me to the punch as I wanted to do THAT with HER!! I would recommend Phylis and Builders Best with no reservations at all. You get what you pay for.... <br />"
