Customers say: Quick response

"Quick installation through a brick wall., done in about 1 to 2 hours. They tested the radon levels in my house over a 48 hr continuous period, with an electric system sitting in our basement, both before putting the system in and after. We had the larger fan installed for the large amount of radon. The fan is pretty low notice in my opinion."

"Excellent, very satisfactory. Radon Brothers' rep came, saw the problem, and replaced the leaking radon exhaust PVC pipe in my basement floor. All in record time. Am very satisfied and will continue using Angi contractors."

"The company installed a radon mitigation system in my house, reducing the level from 300 to .4. They obviously did superb work, and did it promptly at reasonable cost (much lower than the statewide company I got a quote from). Then afterward they provided outstanding customer service by promptly responding to my request to replace the original powerful fan with a quieter fan. Tuan obviously cared about my satisfaction as a customer. My experience is that this company is extremely competent, professional and trustworthy, and I give them my highest recommendation."

"I recommend Enviroquest to my clients all the time and they are always happy. Enviroquest is diligent, professional, and just good at what the do. And they install Radon Mitigation systems themselves! (which most inspections companies don't do) Can't go wrong with Enviroquest for all your home inspection needs!"

"At first not so well. I had a passive system currently installed and I was hoping making it active would solve my radon issues; note my radon levels were off the charts at around 130 pCi/L. Mike and son showed up on time and performed the work quickly and efficiently. They needed access to my attic in which they added a fan to my passive system, did some sealing around my sump and added a manometer. Total time of around 1 hour. Unfortunately though running efficiently, this only brought my readings down to around 75 pCi/L. Cost of 1st install was $765 Mike and son came back out again and installed another suction point, including drilling and installing 4" pvc, another fan, and another manometer. Total time of around 1.5 to 2 hours. Again on time and done efficiently. Both times they cleaned up everything and were respectful of my house. Luckily this time it worked, bringing my levels down to around 1 pCi/L. Cost of 2nd install was $965."

"<p>it was superb! they easiest, hassle free Radon test in town, with extremely proficient people -- very knowledgeable and very people-friendly! they took their time to explain things on the phone to me before I committed. the test came back within 10 days or so -- via email. which is very convenient. it was very clear as it is, but I like talking through it and get advice. they were instantly available to discuss. they gave me future tips to keep on top of all things Radon related. </p> <p>I have to say that all this comes to be after 3 months of many back and forths with 3 other companies -- none of the other companies could be bothered to schedule a time, and those who did, never showed up.. many times over. I don't know why I was so patient with them and I wish had discovered Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories much sooner.</p> <p>Really highly recommend them!</p> <br />"

"I can't say enough about how professional they are.  I met the regional manager at the property and he explained what we were looking for and how he would test for radon. He also explained how their system worked and how it might be implemented if there was a problem. The test results are evaluated by a 3rd party testing company so I knew the results would be accurate and wouldn't be influenced by SWAT Environmental.. <br /> The tests came back positive with fairly high levels of radon (over 80 PiC/L).  James came out a second time and explained how they would install the system and retest, guaranteeing that they would get the radon down below 4 PiC/L  They scheduled the installation within a week.  The installation technician, Sean, was unbelievable.  He was neat, courteous and did a fantastic job with the installation. All holes were clean and neat, the exterior work was excellent and they even took the pipe up through the overhang to the roof - minimizing the visual impact of the system on the home.  The pipe and fan system were painted to match the gutters and really fit in with the rest of the house. <br /> The system brought radon levels down to 30 PiC/L but not enough to resolve the issue.  The house is unusual construction - it's on a two level slab and the floors and ceilings are beam and plank construction - no joist cavities.  The house was originally built and owned by an architect so the construction is unique and unlike any other house we've seen. I'm not surprised we had problems getting the radon levels down on the first try.  The amazing thing is they came back and installed a second system AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.  Their guarantee is more than just giving your money back - they continued to work on the two systems until radon level met EPA standards.  <br /> That's how amazing this company is.  There was never a suggestion of them pulling out or making excuses.  I can't say enough about how professional this company is.  I work in the construction industry and never have I run into a company that is as committed to resolving problems and great customer service as this one. If I could hire these guys to do my construction work my life would be so much easier and I'd hire them tomorrow if Sean or James wanted to jump ship. <br />"

"It is a pleasure write a review that is from the heart due to a job well done. We had an extraordinary experience with Joyland. From the initial sales contact, estimation, and the job from start to finish was executed with precision by this company. The cleanup was like the roof replacement and masonry work had never taken place. The sales / project manager was with us through the entire process and followed up afterwards for a final inspection of the property. This company is highly recommended."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Enola, PA

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
