"Austin arrived at the time agreed and proceeded to check out our non-working system. He verified that the pump worked from his actuator and that the problem was with our automation clock. We agreed on a replacement and he installed it right away. He carefully checked all the water systems to ensure they were working, and when he found some problems he listened to my priorities for the yard and we defined a plan to defer some work until a later time, and address the highest priority issues. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything and suggested some alternatives to doing all the work at once. I appreciated his professionalism and recognition that not everything needed to be addressed at once.

"PERFECT... Scott was very professional and KNEW what he was talking about.  I had some lights added to our original system that were sub-standard (installed by a licensed landscaper) to say the least.  He located and fixed a problem I had in the front yard, my lights in front quit working.  He located the line/connections quickly,fixed the issue and replaced a burned out buld.  We then talked about re-vamping, adding and changing out my entire landscaping light system.  He came up w/re-purposing some lights from the front yard and adding them to the back yard, plus retrofitting them all w/LED (cheaper to run). 
He is completing an estimate to have everything updated, replaced, changed and lights added. I am soooooo excited to proceed with the "new" system and his ideas.  My only regret is not having him install my landscaping lighting the first time and the second time I had additional lights added.... I will not be making that mistake again... Call Scott, he's awesome!!


I have had the new lights and system for a year now, I have not replaced a single buld or had ANY issues with this new system.  I am truly amazed at the service and product he installed/repaired last year.  He was able to re-purpose some of my commercial grade lights and I added some.  I also went with all new wire to make sure everything worked well and not pieced together.  SO HAPPY with the outcome and it ALL works together properly for the first time in years.

I hired them for regular mowing and landscaping for $206/month and that was to come out every other week for 2 hours. They made promises to build up my garden beds and other landscaping. needed to remove some concrete from our backyard, take out some old,
overgrown landscaping features and replace with topsoil and sod. Erik
was prompt in returning my call and came out to look at the property. We
had a quote for the job within 24 hours and the prices were reasonable.
We looked around at a few other companies but ended up hiring Erik due

"The challenge with this situation was that the Angie's List consultation offer for J&R Landscape failed to include that they only serve a certain area on the Eastside. After I bought the offer and was in touch with J&R Landscape's owner, Ryan, he noted the error and said it would be difficult for them to travel all the way to my neighborhood in Seattle. And yet -- they did! Ryan said "a deal is a deal" and they would honor what Angie's List had offered. Ryan and Andrea W. were first-class professional in everything. Andrea's advice and suggestions for how to improve my landscape, and what rockery design would be best for my location -- it was perfect. I have not yet done the rockery in the backyard, but I took to heart all her suggestions for the front yard, and it looks so much better. I would hire J&R Landscape in a heartbeat -- especially if I lived on the Eastside."

"I used Bauer's Landscaping Service last October and was so satisfied I wrote a "glowing" review.  Last month I contacted them to do some more work on my property.  I called three separate times in a 2-week period, and no-one bothered to call me back.  With each call I reminded him who I was and how pleased I had been with their previous work - still no call back.  I'm so disappointed that I will now deal with someone who actually needs the work because they evidently don't need custormers - especially returning customers.
