I hired Tim to build a screen porch under my deck but added several projects as I recognized the high quality of work and attention to detail from his crew. "Bill Shea's Replacement Countertops are very easy to work with. I had two different salespeople and they were both very pleasant and very organized. I had talked to them about a year ago and then forgot about and then finally decided to go ahead with it. He offered some other suggestions about the type of countertop I picked and his suggestion was better. That turned out to be really good. It works for me. My kitchen looks bigger. It's lighter. We replaced the countertop and sink for the bathroom. She brought me a whole bunch of different things to look at and we decided on the one that I wanted. She suggested putting a backsplash on it, which I hadn't thought of, because my original counter didn't have one. But she suggested it and it looks really great. "

"Given the complexity of the project, it went as smoothly as something like this can go. Hagit developed a very functional and attractive design based around an island that would seat 3, along with a variety of cabinetry. She was very patient when we wanted a number of adjustments. She accompanied us to pick out counters and backsplash, and always seemed to have good ideas for selections according to our tastes. Brian mapped out the engineering, which included moving a support beam, together with an engineering firm. He also mapped out a three-month schedule with the various subcontractors the firm uses, like the plumber, electrician, plasterer, counter people, floor people, etc. They all had lots of experience with this kind of work, and in working with KCF. Brian worked hard to ensure that new wood flooring would match well with existing flooring just outside the new kitchen. The KCF team also took a lot of care to set things up in our condo to create barriers to minimize dust and dirt, and try to ease our inconvenience; they even loaned us a microwave to use in our temporary kitchen in the basement. For the most part, subs showed up as scheduled, and did good work. KCF also coordinated all the town inspections. There were only a few glitches--the biggest one was when the tiles for the backsplash arrived broken, and it took some weeks to get replacements. The tile outfit wasn't very responsive, and seemed not to care much. But KCF kept on with all the other work, and the tiles were finally put in pretty much near the end. We have used the kitchen for a couple months now and love it. The design and craftsmanship all worked well. Going through a kitchen re-do is never a pleasant experience, but KCF made it as painless as possible."

"I sent a request for quote via Angie's List in the morning, for drilling a hole in my granite countertop so that an under sink filtration system could be installed. I got a call in the afternoon of the same day from the owner and an installer was sent to my house in the evening. Devon, the installer, was very polite and professional. He did a great job very efficiently and cleaned up everything after finishing the drilling. It was pleasant working with this company and Devon, and I would definitely hire them again!"

"Working with Jurgen was a great experience. He is a very reliable, hardworking, thorough and detail orientated person. He is also very pleasant to be around, tidied up carefully everyday and gave regular updates on the work. Jurgen had given us a quote for this work, but we decided to go with a different company (who had done work for us before), despite the fact that the quotes were very similar. Our contractor then dropped us at a few days notice (when offered a bigger job) and Jurgen very graciously stepped in. Jurgen had to re-build some of the bathroom subfloor and explained exactly what he was doing. He was also totally open to explaining again to my husband and making some changes to satisfy his requests. The care he took over little details, like matching the cut in the vinyl planks to that of the tub, showed his exemplary work ethic. When the job was done, he even billed us on the basis of his time and materials at significantly less than the original quote. Very few contractors would do this. I would definitely recommend Jurgen and hope to be able to have him work for us again."
