"I want to thank George for sending Anthony and his men to repair my house chimney and then bracing it to the foundation. These gentlemen were professional, courteous, and efficient; they also finished in a timely manner. Additionally, I want to thank George for taking the time explaining the details pertaining to this project. In closing, I would not hesitate to use the services of Platinum Pro Chimney should the need arise again."

"Jonathan was extremely neat, putting down a drop cloth to protect surrounding area, used a well ventilated shop-vac - spent considerable time ensuring all soot was removed; brushing the flue from the bottom, using a broom brush in the smoke chamber and wire brush inside the fire box; vacuumed off the smoke shelf and in the firebox and cleaned the glass doors. Inspected the chimney cap and crown. <br /> I would use again and recommend Jonathan / Safe-T-Sweep, Inc. <br /> <br />"

"Everything went well, he inspected the chimney of the home I had just purchased and advised that I have the chimney repaired <br /> or sealed due to fire damage. He was very thorough and gave lots of details with images to show all the damage. I would definitely use him again. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I called John because my wife agreed to a chimney sweep company which called us and came to clean our chimney, telling her that it would be $120. Luckily I was here when vacuumed out our zero clearance fireplace chimney. They did find cracks in the bottom and back;prefab panels in the fireplace fire box and they did a 'free' inspection of our furnace chimney which he then found some water 'damage' . They then told me that they would have to re-cement the furnace fireplace cracks and also cement the panels in the fireplace which they said will cost about $1200, they kept pressing that this needs to be done to prevent CO2, when I hesitated he said they would give me a 10% discount if I paid in cash. That set off some red flags in my head and as they were an out of state company we didn't even call. I told them to write up what they thought I needed and I'll discuss it with my wife and get back to them, after writing up the 'estimate' he said if you call before Monday then he can cut off another $150, which again made me even more leery. After they left I checked Angie's List (which I would have done if I knew my wife made the appointment) and found good reviews for Let There Be Light Chimney Sweep so I called them and left a message to see what their price would be for the work. I got a call around 8PM that evening from John - I was impressed that he called back that same evening. When I told him our situation he explained that I was approached by a typical 'gypsy' chimney sweep company and explained they did all the 'tricks' to get pressure you to pay for something that you didn't need. We spent the next hour or so on the phone discussing what I could do to fix the fireplace. He told me to make a cardboard template of the back and bottom panels of the fireplace and go to a metal shop to get them to create a 1/4 inch piece to fit in the fireplace, using fireplace cement to fill the cracks and then put in the steel piece. He said that will stop future fires from causing any more cracks and it will actually help the heat reflecting back to the room (not to mention painting it with heat paint will help the look), all total it should cost less then $150. He also mentioned that I should NOT cement the side panels which the NY company wanted to do because that will probably cause more problems with heat expansion (which implies either ignorance or they were looking to create future work). So thanks to Angie List I was able to get in contact with John who really impressed me with his honesty, knowledge, and professionalism. Not only did I save about a thousand bucks or so but his suggestion will increase the efficiency of my fireplace, needless to say when I do need a chimney sweep I'll be using Let There Be Light Chimney Sweep!"

"We did a lot of research prior to choosing who would install the fireplace insert.  The prices were all very similar but because Estates had an excellent rating on Angie's List and were so responsive to our needs, we chose them to do the work.  They came on one of the coldest days of the year and worked in brutally cold conditions in our family room which had no heat at all.  They worked very hard, did a beautiful job and left our house clean.  They explained how it worked to us more than once and were very patient and professional.  We recommend Estates Chimney highly and would hire them again.  They were GREAT!  <br />"

"The guys that came out were very nice. everything went well, they did a great job, the crown of the chimney has a nice rounded finish so the rain water will flow right off. They cleaned up when they were finished. We asked them about the fine lines and small cracks in the chimney stucco, they said it was not done right by the original builder so we will have them come back and re-do the stucco. Very satisfied with Wells & Sons Chimney Service!"
