"We have had a problem with our main building drain line clogging once a year, every year, since we purchased our home 14 years ago. We had it cleared around Thanksgiving of 2022 and it was again blocked only 2 months later. Fed up, I wanted to understand what the exact problem was, and proceed with fixing it. Tim and I spoke at length and therein I explained the history behind the issue (including experience from rodding the line myself on previous occasions). Tim explained what he thought the problem might be, based on his experience, and discussed various options including firm costs (not the "well, it will cost somewhere between $5 and $50,000" BS). We talked for about 30 minutes whereas conversations with other plumbers usually lasted all of 3 minutes wherein they explained how much it would cost, how they expected to be paid, and when they could come out. Tim showed up promptly at the agreed-upon time with Pedro and the two of them went to work. Without going into details, those two spent approximately 4.5 hours working my issue during which time they mechanically rodded the line 5-6 times, ran a camera into the pipe following each rodding, and then hydro-jetted it twice (might have been three times and they inspected the line using the camera after each hydro-jetting as well). I paid extra for the hyrdo-jet but I knew that they would probably need to resort to this following our phone call and again, I understood going into it exactly what the cost would be. These guys really busted their tails (other plumbers were typically in and out in an hour or less) and from what I could actually see via the camera, Tim and Pedro appeared to fix the problem once and for all. I spent a lot of time with them (as an engineer, I am curious by nature) and I felt like there were times when they could have said "Yeah, good enough" but they would talk and say "yeah, we should really do [this] again." In summary, Tim and Pedro were very professional, VERY hard-working, and extremely thorough, and I received a service that I feel was far in excess of that provided by anyone previously. Tim is the only person that I will call in the future should I need this service again (but I doubt it!). Finally, there were not surprise or escalated costs. Fantastic experience! "1960's home. Original copper and cast iron pipes. Well water. There was an extreme Sulfur smell that penetrated the whole system even with single stage carbon filters and a thorough bleaching and flushing of the system. All Affordable installed all new pex supply lines throughout the home, and replaced all the old drainage lines with PVC. There was an immediate improvement in the odor. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and hard working. They took precautions due to COVID. They laid tarps down to protect all the flooring, and did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. I was especially impressed by Juan and Cornel. The quote and Initial scheduling went very smoothly. They were prompt, friendly and informative, and completed the work quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, a couple of the items I had ordered from alternative suppliers were delayed due to COVID, so they had to schedule a time to return after the remaining items were delivered. The scheduling of the follow-up appointment was a bit difficult, and is the only reason I did not give them all 5 stars. I am a DIYer, so I did not have them repair the drywall or finish the entire bath remodel, but I have attached a few pictures anyway. I am a single middle aged woman and I never felt talked down to or taken advantage of. They were wonderful, and I would highly recommend All Affordable Plumbing!"

"It went great! Patrick came out on a Saturday to see what was causing my line to back up. He used his camera to find mud in a section of my pipe indicating some type of crack or break. Gave me my options for fixing it. He started his repair two days later on Monday and finished up today, Wednesday. They dug roughly, a 4ft by 3ft hole to get down to the pipe and ended up digging two more feet towards the basement to ensure that they connected the new pipe to a solid piece of the existing pipe. Very competitive pricing, I called two other plumbers who were both higher priced by at least 2K and didn't offer as good of a warranty on their work. Very knowledgeable, able to help me understand how my whole sewer system works. Very professional, got the permit with the city, busted the work out, got the job inspected by the city and Closed up the hole. Patrick and his crew were also able to remove a piece of cable that someone previously broke and left in the pipe ( from that machine that rods your line). I highly recommend Patrick and his crew. "We have had problems with our sewer line backing up for the past 17 years. Would always call different rooder router company's to get it unplugged. Used to have to do it at least twice a year and then it turned into 3 or 4 times a year. The last guy we had told me he was going to have to rip up my floor in order to fix the problem. I was beside myself.... Then about a year and a half ago I got the name of J&S plumbing from my brother in law who used them for the village of Arlington Heights. He told me to call and ask for Brian (Buck) and get a 2nd opinion which we did. Brian put a camera down the sewer line and saw that the pipe under ground was broken and replaced it for us. No other company in all those years even bothered to put a camera down there to see what the problem was. Brian suggested we get the line hydro jetted when the weather broke. We had no problems with the line for about a year and a half and the sewer backed up again. We called Brian and he sent Daniel to hydro jet the line. Daniel came with two other guys and got my sewers all cleaned out. He was kind, honest and friendly. I would recommend J&S Plumbing to anyone who wants to be treated fairly with great customer service. If there was more than 5 stars to give I would give them more. They are an honest, fair company! "Patrick came out within two hours and explained all the possibilities and what it would cost. Upon clearing the drain and inserting the camera, he discovered a cracked pipe. He explained what my options were. I hired him to replace the pipe. He immediately went to City Hall for the permit, began work the next day, and had it completed before Christmas Eve as promised. Throughout the whole process, he was very knowledgeable, honest, and professional. I would definitely hire him in the future. I felt respected and not taken advantage of."

"The main reason we will stop using Reliance’s services: we were promised boiler drains that we never got. Boiler drains do not need washers which is why we wanted them. The job took four days. July 6th we wasted a whole day waiting for service. We called Reliance immediately because we have used their plumbing services for years. We were very disappointed with their service. A plumber was scheduled to come and install two cut offs and replace faucet washers. This plumber promised us two premium quarter turn boiler drains for hot and cold water feeds (we never did get these boiler drains). He recommended replacing the faucet. The plumber did not have all the parts, so we scheduled him to come back July 5th. July 5th the plumber we had spoken to called in sick. Another plumber was assigned to the work. This plumber did not seem to know what the previous plumber had estimated for the job. We showed the new plumber the work order. He went to work. After he had changed the faucets and installed the cut offs, we asked about the quarter turn boiler drains. He said they could not find the parts locally and we did not need them anyway. He recommended replacing the old cement tub. The drain could no longer be hooked up to the old tub. We sheduled him to come back July 6th. We requested the boiler drains again. July 6th. The plumber was scheduled to come between noon and 2:00 pm. The office manager called to say that the plumber could not get there until 2:00-4:00pm. We understand that sometimes rescheduling happens. However, around 4:15 the office manager called again. He wanted to reschedule for Monday. We had been waiting all day and this was the third day. We wanted a plumber to come. The office manager said OK he would send someone. The plumber who was supposed to come called us and said it was too late to come. Could we schedule for Monday. We almost called another plumbing company at this point. We scheduled for early Monday morning. Monday July 9th The plumber came early Monday morning on time. He did not bring the boiler drains. This time he said the boiler drains were to unusual to install and we didnt need them. He redid some of the copper piping because he was installing a new tub. The copper piping has some unusual twists because the new tub was a different size from the concert tub. The plumbing job was professionally done, but it took four days. We paid for broiler drains we never got."

"I noticed there was water in the cabinet under my kitchen sink.  I turned on the kitchen faucet and noted the U drain was dripping water.  I placed a pot under the drip with a towel under the pot.  I then did a search on Angie's list to find a plumber.  The first name that came up was Charlies Plumbing - Heating and Sewerage Service.  I noted on the map that he had done work in my area. Since it was late in the day, I waited until morning to call.  Charlie answered his phone after just a few rings.  I told him my problem and where I lived.  He stated he was at a job and would call me later.  He called a few hours later and stated he could stop by and check out the problem.  True to his word, he rang the bell and Charlie and a co worker diagnosed the problem quickly - the pipe was cracked and needed to be replaced.  He had the part that needed replacement and completed the job.  I would definitely call Charlies Plumbing again and recommend his plumbing services.
