"I hired Silmac construction to remodel my basement. They put in a three-quarter bath, kitchenette, and finished the rest of the basement. This included cutting foundation for full size windows, putting in a new zone for heating and cooling system, and all the plumbing and electrical work needed. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I have gotten many compliments on our basement and I will hire them again to do work on my house."

"Crystal gutted a 550 sqft full floor of a brownstone and installed a new master bath, closets, and roof deck access. Complete paint, floor restoration, lighting, etc as well. Pedro is highly responsive and cares very much that the project meets the client's expectations. His team is professional and courteous. Perhaps most importantly for doing work on old buildings in the city, Pedro knows that the unexpected can come up and works with the client to address the issue. In our case, removing the ceiling revealed highly stressed joists from a roof house, roof deck, and poorly constructed stairwell framing. Pedro worked with the inspector to find the right solution and installed LVLs and new brickwork to fix the issue. His cost for additional work was very fair, and I've had situations before where a contractor would use that situation as leverage for a hefty premium on the work. "After discovering black mold creeping up the sheetrock along my basement wall we found that we had a hidden leak that we thought came from the patio door above. The home owners ins adjuster told us to hire a contractor and to brace ourselves because he believed the damage was extensive. He was right. We hired Matt Palmer (MMP Construction) and he gave us the devastating news that the entire lower half of the house was rotted from water damage due to an improperly flashed deck that ran along the back of the house.  I desperately wanted to save the deck, (54X12). It was a difficult task, but Matt was able to save it. <br /> Matt worked diligently, stayed in contact with me (I was not able to be present during the day) and in the end gave us a great product. Matt was not only skillful, but very knowledgeable, creative, and professional. I will definitely be hiring him again. <br /> <hr />"
