Unfortunately, when we turned the shut off valve (under the sink) back on, it won’t open up. The valve is probably 30 years old and is soldered into copper plumbing line. There is another shut off in the cellar between the sink and the hot water heater and well before the main. The house was built in 1900 so it needs TLC. Fix one thing and you are not quite sure if the house will approve (smile).
