"John and his crew were excellent from start to finish. They transformed are old broken and cracked driveway into beautiful combination of asphalt and paver border with paver apron that John had mentioned We were so impressed with how the driveway was turning out. We decided to have John redo our patio.I couldn’t recommend provision paving and Masonary enough. "

"We chose Mata Paving solely on their reputation on Angie's List before getting an estimate on the job. Their estimator took time to go over all the details and options unlike the other estimates we got that were based on a cursory look at the driveway. It so happened that Mata's estimate was also the lowest. On the day of the Belgian block installation Carlos, the owner, spent at least an hour with us going over measurements and the final design layout. By the end of the day his guys had done a great job exactly as laid out and had totally cleaned up the work site. A week or so later they were back and Carlos oversaw and worked on the installation of the asphalt driveway. The completed job is perfect and exactly what we wanted. Highly recommended."

"Masterseal Sealcoat has the Best prices in Bucks County for seal coating! I used to do this Job myself every 2 years and buy the product from Home Depot until my friend that is a paving foreman told me to call masterseal. Their prices to do the entire job on your driveway are about the same as the cost of you buying just the sealer from home depot and Masterseal uses commercial grade material that looks better and lasts longer. It was a no brainer! Save your self the hassle and have these guys do the job! They were professional and courteous and my driveway looks brand new again. Thanks Masterseal!"

"Spring rains delayed installation, but as soon as the weather allowed, they scheduled a date. I have a smallish driveway that needed to be redone to cover an area that was down to stone. Platinum gave me the best quote and removed the old driveway first to level it. I understood that they had a larger job before mine, but were at my house by 1:30 and were completed by 4:30. Neighbors have commented on how efficiently they completed the job. I have been referring anyone that asks."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Ewing-township, NJ

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
