Mike and Eli noticed a problem with the shelves that were going on the wall near my pull down attic steps. They told me about the problem and explained my options- a potential problem solved because they were so observant and careful of the plans when doing the install. I love the shelves and Murphy bed! "He sent the other guy and I think the other guy kind of overcharged us.  <br /> <br /> He got done pretty quick. He bought the new plumbing fixture. The place that he was gonna get it charged retail a hundred and twenty something dollars, we could have bought it at Home Depot for sixty. <br /> <br /> He claimed he didn't have to read the instructions that came with the plumbing fixture and so he put it in wrong and left out a couple of parts. <br /> <br /> He's not very careful with what he does, he's fast but he's too fast and he's sloppy. He took all the extra parts with him and I should have asked him to leave the box, it didn't occur to me till after he was gone but he cleaned up all the, I mean he put everything back in the box and took it away."

"I had a 50-year-old house with a cinderblock basement wall that had water slowly coming through. I researched the various firms that did waterproofing and had three highly rated firms come out for an estimate. The first contractor didn’t even bring a flashlight and just looked around and said to keep an eye on it. The second gentlemen did provide detailed estimate and carefully explained the problem. Randy, the owner, from Chamberlin Washington provided a similar diagnosis and estimate. His estimate was not only a little less expensive but he looked at the entire house and found other things that could use some maintenance. This is what I liked about Randy – he looked at the whole house and discovered several smaller things that should be fixed to avoid issues down the road. These were all things I knew about already but I’m glad someone took the time to examine the entire house and not just the one issue I was having. We had then not only waterproof the outside wall but also fill the expansion joints in our patio and seal one basement window as well as re-point some mortar joints in the brink chimney. When the crew came they went to work. They also did an admirable job protecting our plants. An old section of of a 6' high stockade fence had to be removed and I bough a new section and the crew was happy to put that up. When they water tested the wall they found a small leak. They re-did the sealant and that did the trick. Randy came out and supervised critical parts of the job. He was great to work with and happily fixed a few small things at the end. Randy really cares about doing the job right. I am 100% pleased with the work they did. I watched over much of the repair and everything was done correct and by the book. Overall I can't say enough about how pleased I was with Chamberlin-Washington and their work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone."

"Professionalism. Expertise. Quality. All synonymous with the Handy Works organization. What a goldmine of a resource! In the spirit of Angie's List, I share my experience with this valuable contact. In need of quick handy man work, I ran through the list of sources in Angie's List for my area. I was disappointed with most because of either time, cost, or experience level for the work I wanted done. Just as I was about to give up, I had the great pleasure of speaking with Matt, the owner of Handy Works. Immediately, I knew he was the right resource. I explained that I wanted to have a large tv mounted on the wall; a pot rack hung, and some other general work. He proceeded to talk me through what would be needed and in a very helpful manner, explained the “correct” way for this work to be done. I knew right away he was the perfect resource! Now, with time not on my side, (it was a Thursday and I really wanted the work to be done within a day or two) I asked if he would be able to do it in that timeframe. To my extreme surprise, and keying in on my sense of urgency and the fact that I wanted to get this done quickly, he agreed to come out that Sunday, on Mother's Day, to work and complete the job! As well, because of the way my area was constructed, he ended up having to do quite a bit of drywall cutting to make it work properly, which he did patiently and expertly (as well as fixed and painted beautifully)! Net, net, he completed everything we needed done in excellent time and at a very, very reasonable cost! We are working with him to tackle several other things we need done (including power washing the exterior siding on our house). Would highly recommend his work! Can't say enough about how impressed I was!"

"I was satisfied with every aspect of our crawl space encapsulation process. Doug Harkey came out and provided a very detailed estimate, including a detailed sketch of my crawl space and pictures of problem areas. His estimate was reasonable and provided several options in different price ranges to accommodate us financially. I especially liked the videos he included so we would know exactly what to expect during the encapsulation. Prior to the job commencing, their electrician came out to install a new circuit for our new dehumidifier. His work was done quickly and efficiently, and the new circuit was run with no damage to our drywall. Another crew also came one morning to replace our crawl space access doors with insulated doors. All work was very timely and professional. When Jesse Marshall and his crew showed up on the week of the encapsulation, they arrived early as scheduled and stayed on the job all day each day until the job was completed. Jesse and his crew were very professional and friendly and set to work quickly removing all of our old insulation and vapor barrier and sprayed all wood surfaces with mold inhibitor. They clearly communicated what they would accomplish each day and they made steady progress until the job was completed. The new vapor barrier and rigid insulation was professionally installed and permanently fastened to my foundation wall and all seams were neatly taped. As an engineer, I crawled under the house at the end of the job, and I found nothing wrong with the installation. We got exactly what we paid for. The AprilAire dehumidifier was much quieter than I thought it would be and I'm pleased with its installation and performance. Makes about as much noise as our refrigerator. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with our decision to hire Stable Foundations. I would definitely hire them again if needed."

"We had an excellent first-time experience with this local handyman company.  Owner Mr. Chavez came by to see what job would entail before giving us an estimate.  Estimate seemed reasonable (we provided the new mailpost and mailbox), so we took a chance.  Crew member Jeff arrived within a reasonable time on the day promised, and with an impressive array of tools and equipment, to include a hole-digger.  Jeff was very competent, professional, courteous and customer-oriented.  His installation included solidifying the mail post into a concrete base (old mailpost had just been placed into the ground with no concrete base), which he mixed up on-site. When we unpackaged the new mailbox we had purchased, there were no attaching screws or nails - but no problem, Jeff had plenty on hand.  Jeff cheerfully installed a FLS paperbox and new house address numbers on the new post as well.  He also adjusted the new mailbox's stiff, cranky lid so that it would open and close properly. Bottom line: an excellent overall experience with Quality Expectations, a company that we would definitely recommend and consider using again. <br />"
