"Allen was fantastic! He was able to get us scheduled within a couple weeks for a very reasonable price. He knew how to repair the damage around our front door while saving the windows which saved us thousands in replacement costs. So very happy with his work. It looks like new!"

"The company responded within an hour to my online request. They were able to schedule my work the next day. The handyman was running late because of his call before mine. I was called and texted to know when he was on his way to me. Communication was very good. Josh was worth the wait. He assembled a piece of furniture and fixed an interior door that would not close or latch. He also cleaned the packing materials and took them away.He was very pleasant and communicative. We discussed another job coming up. I will hire this company again."

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Fantastic! Attila was great. He responded quickly, came in with a good quote, and they started work the following week. The project took 3 1/2 days. The team was on time every day, respectful, thorough, and cleaned up after themselves. The paint job is excellent! They even replaced drywall near a corner in a very tall room where we had a crack (we didn't realize this would be needed). It looks perfect! I will definitely be using them again!"

"John and Matt were knowledgable, professional, reliable, courteous, and reasonably priced. They continually make every effort to give the customer what they need and what they want. Even after the job was paid, they continued support and assisted with minor upgrade additions not originally part of our requests. Simply, NDCWT do whatever they can to treat the customer well, like a customer. Hard to find these days sometimes. (Hoped the acronym would be easier to remember). Perhaps NDW would be a shortcut to the name? Or Matt and Johns Window treatments ( M J designs?). <For short>. Food for thought. Anyway, Great job!"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Fairview, TN

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
