It was very evident from the start that each member of his team knew their assignments and were well versed in what had to be done. AJ was on sight the entire day working side by side with the other three. His entire team are professional, polite, and willing to chat when the opportunity would allow. They did the entire 10’x12’ deck in one day and there were no issues with their craftmanship. The reason we selected Deck and Fences was from a referral and had seen their work before, and was impressed with the quality. AJ did not pressure us into a sale when he came out for an estimate. The time it takes to reupholster furniture depends on the piece's size and complexity. A professional can reupholster a small dining chair in 2 to 4 hours, while a full-sized sofa may take 15 to 20 hours. If you choose to DIY, expect 2 to 4 hours for a dining chair, several days for a recliner, and several weeks for a sofa.
In some cases, it's possible to reupholster directly over existing fabric, but it's not always recommended. This method works best when the original fabric is smooth and not heavily textured, and when the new fabric is dark enough to conceal the old material.
