"I called the office using Moncreif because my real estate agent said to.  I was quoted a price of $120 for the technican to come and inspect the units.  I did not want any work done, we did not own the house, just a once over to see  if there were any problems.  He seemed to be spending a long time checking the systems out, and did report that both were low on coolant, and that one had a leak that was visible. Then he presented the bill.  I had a brief discussion about the price with him, but did not call the office to discuss the charges.  He broke it down for me at his hourly rate, but I really felt he just went over and above the inspection that I requested and he gouged me.  With my agent there, the house inspector there, and feeling pressure to get the process finished I just paid it.  I regret it.  Hence the bad review.  I did not use them for any repair work once we closed on the house. I am extremely happy with the new HVAC installers I used.
He did show up on time.  They were easy to schedule an appointment with.

So, Tom Mutz did contact me, and we have been playing voice mail tag.  However I left a message for him about four weeks ago that yes he could send me a refund and I would update my Angie's List opinion.  However I have not received a refund, nor any more calls.  Just wanted you all to know that the situation did not get resolved."

"Paul identified and resolved several issues with my HVAC system. It is a three zone system with dampers, one of which had failed. Though he hoped to replace the server, it was non-standard and he had to cut into the plenum and replace the entire damper unit. Plus the layout of the system was such that access to the area was unusually difficult. He also serviced the outside condenser unit more thoroughly than I have seen over the years. And installed one wi-fi thermostat and moved another. I felt that his charges were very reasonable considering all that was asked of him.
