"This company was very responsive, professional, and was able to complete my project quickly. Rob Haskell came out to my house, sent me an estimate which was acceptable to me and then completed the job within 10 days. I would highly recommend Mount Baker Tiny Homes"

"Leo and helper rebuilt outdoor stairs and did a very nice job. He was quick and professional from first contact to job completion. But, he underestimated wood needed for replacement of deck boards and he didn’t bid the cleanup/disposal of removed wood so the quote was short by $300. I would recommend Leo just be sure the quote includes everything you want done."

Small jobs welcome

"I found Paul on Craigslist and had him come out to look at my basement mother-in-law suite. The suite needed a big overhaul as the last time was probably in the 80's and it was pretty run down. Paul took his time and went over all of the details with me to explain exactly what was needed to do the renovation. Of the 4 or 5 contractors I had look at the project, Paul took the time necessary to look at what he was getting himself into before blindly committing and I appreciated that very much. I would much rather know up front what I'm getting into. Paul took about 3 weeks to complete the renovation with his team. He quoted me about 4 weeks so he was finished early which was nice. The quality was fantastic, he for sure knows what he is doing. The price was very fair imo for the time spent and the materials and for the quality of work. Since the major renovation, I've had a few other projects like replacing a house door, redoing a kitchen and redoing a bathroom that Paul did as well and they turned out very nice. Overall 5/5 stars and would highly recommend to anyone looking to redo a bathroom to major overhauls."

"George did a wonderful job. He was on time every day and always cleaned up at the end of the day. The shower is beautiful . George had to do more work on the plumbing than was first thought but he never complained and just did what was needed. We would recommend him highly if anyone needs any type of remodeling work done. He is a very nice person and his work is exceptional. Very trustworthy person to have in our home. We will hire him again if we need any work done."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Ferndale, WA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
