"Owner,Dmitriy is a nice guy but you'll only see him when he presents the contract and for progress payments--not supervising the job. Don't be in a rush to sign the contract.Ask him to leave it with you to read for a day.Be detailed about your expectations-amend if needed to make sure all is clear and all understandings are in writing.CA law allows lesser of $1,000 or 10% total project cost as down payment,no up front material payments allowed till delivered. Do not pay more. You'll deal mostly a project manager -at the job site mostly, but not always.Their "signature method" of installation may not be what you want. There were different workers in and out of rotation and we had to be there every day to make sure installation was done to our liking, otherwise, things were just done and had to be redone later. All the workers were very nice and want to please, but varied in their skill and experience. Caulking and painting was just satisfactory, not their strongest suit. We are left with some ugly areas of caulking that we hope we won't notice as time goes on."

"I had Ocean Seven Builders replace a roof on my primary residence along with a rental property of mine. They knocked out the work at my house in one day and were done by 1pm on the rental property. They were prompt and showed up first thing in the morning and did a lot of prep work to make sure there wasn't any debris falling on my deck table or in my air conditioner. They contacted me once during the day to confirm the color of two vents. I stopped by at lunch and they answered all questions, etc. When I came home in the evening from work they were leaving and they did not leave any trash, nails, etc at all. The roof looks great after the work was completed. I would hire them again."

"We met with a few roofers and we really liked Sunrise for two reasons: we felt very comfortable with Steve from the start and we preffered his roofing system/process compared to what everyone else offered. We felt his recommendation would outlast the other options provided by the other roofers. He gave us a fair price and completed the job efficiently. Everything was nicely cleaned up and hauled away. We requested the wood fascia to be primed, but they also painted it and matched the color of the existing paint. There were a number of other things they did, going above and beyond without charging us. We were out of town the entire time the roof was being installed and I was never worried, in fact I was very happy when I got back to see all the great decisions they made and the extras they provided. I really have to say this was a great experience and would definitely recommend them.

"Now let me rave about Dave... He was on time if not early, he is a man that can do what he says and does it really fast. The deck repair was above and beyond what we expected. We wanted it it safe and up to code, he made it a work of art. He was knowledgeable of everything we threw at him.  He repaired the window glass so we didn't have to buy a whole new window, squeezed a dishwasher in a tiny kitchen (husband must have dishwasher), did the insulation and did the water shut off replacement. He works quickly and cleanly too, we could not even tell there was work being done. We are so pleased and yes we would hire him again in a heartbeat."
