"We could not be happier with our deck! From the very start, everyone at Chesterfield Fence and Deck (CFD) was very helpful and professional. The crew was VERY clean, sweeping up the patio underneath the new deck every night before they left. The deck looks AMAZING - our neighbor even send us a text message about how beautiful the deck looks! Now, any company can be easy to deal with when there are no problems, but a true judge of a company's character is how they handle problems. We had an issue where the ribbon board (a decorative board that runs perpendicular to the main flooring) wasn't centered properly and was also the wrong color. After sending a supervisor out to look a the deck they, without hesitation, said they would make things right. In this case, making things right was removing the entire surface of the deck (unfortunately rendering it unusable) and redoing it all. We even asked if it was possible to reuse the half of the decking that was too long (by cutting it down to the correct length), but wouldn't do that since the replacement decking for the other half may not be a perfect color match; they would rather take the financial hit than put in a deck that didnt look perfect. To me, that speaks volumes about the company and it's leadership. It seems like it's harder and harder to find a good company that doesn't cur corners and stands behind their work, but in my experience, Chesterfield Fence and Deck is most certainly one of the good guys and I cannot recommend them enough!"

"Very well. Chris called almost immediately and showed up right in time. After powerwgashing the deck he advised that three might be some issues matching the tint of our original sealant. After we were able to locate the brand and color he returned again right on schedule and applied the new product. Overall it looks good although there is some splotchiness where the product seems to have been applied unevenly. Nevertheless it was a good job. He also worked in patching of some holes in our wood siding caused by woodpeckers. Those repairs were done well."

"Justin and his crew power washed and resealed my deck. Not only does my deck look brand new, but they got it done within a week of providing the bid. They cleaned everything up as they worked and they were all very friendly. I ll definitely contact them again for future projects!"

"Our experience was 100% satisfactory. We hired Dettman-Claus painting to prepare the surfaces and repaint the exterior trim of our house, the gutters, and a small concrete porch. and to make minor repairs to a few areas of wood. Our house was remodeled and repainted by the previous owner within the last two years but there were areas where the wood had never been properly primed so there was sap or resin bleeding through the paint. We received an original estimate in the late summer of last year so work could not begin until this spring. Dettman-Claus contacted us a few weeks in advance of the start date. The painters showed up as scheduled and completed the job in a professional manner. The paint used for the concrete porch had to be applied during warm weather so that part of the job was completed a bit later. We had planned on one coat of paint, but the painters felt the gutters needed a second coat. The second coat was applied and I was only charged for the paint. The painters left the job site completely clean. Throughout this experience I felt that I was dealing with professionals both from a business and a painting-skills standpoint and I would hire Dettman \-Claus again"

"Overall, it went very well.  I was happy with the quality of the mulch, the punctuality and professionalism of the crew that put it out, and the price that I paid for it .  It definitely was worth the money to have a crew of professionals spread 9 yards of mulch in one day as opposed to spending several long days doing it myself.  
However, my only "complaint" is that I feel like we could've used a few more yards of mulch since we weren't able to cover all of the areas like we wanted to, so it would've been nice to be able to walk through the property with somebody ahead of time and tell them exactly what we wanted  (which I thought I was going to be able to do) instead of trying to explain it over the phone like I did.  The owner said she came by our property to see how much we needed ahead of time, but I'm actually not 100% sure if she did or not since I work at home full-time and never saw anybody at my house looking around and/or taking measurements on the day that she was supposedly here.  I'll give her the benefit of the doubt though and still give them a good rating in case I just didn't see her somehow.  Still happy with this purchase though!

"when they were through, there was nothing to indicate the fence had been installed except the new fence. Great install job and clean up!
Would use them again if needed and will recommend them to anyone needing a new fence. Everything went well. They did a very professional job. Crew was very professional
