Even the parts of the deck that no one would typically see, like the lumber pillars underneath the deck, were painted to blend in. "My wrought iron porch railing was dangerously loose when I bought the house. Parts of it pulled up and would fail if someone leaned against it. By agreement, Jablan infused epoxy or concrete or something and drilled deep screws through the base plates of the railing into the concrete, securing it solidly without any further give. Also, sanded down some rust spots and thoroughly repainted the entire railing, which looks great, like new. They proactively added some concrete patching, unrelated to the railing itself, but apparently, since they had the concrete mixed they filled a few weathered spots and a big gap in the stairs due to the ground settling down over the years. This guards against further weathering and water leaking under the porch. It was unexpected and highly appreciated. Great job overall."

"We hired Intelligent to replace our old wood deck with a covered composite deck. We received bids from 4 different companies and all the bids came reasonably close. Only 3 of 4 companies were willing to install a roof over the deck. Our deciding factor was the variety of decking to choose from, the quality of decking, the timeline and how well Tom their sales person answered our questions and did not pressure us. He came to our house twice and we exchanged several emails prior to us signing the contract. We actually had one more company scheduled to give us a bid but after our second meeting with Tom we were ready to book the job. The owner Mike and his office person Andrew maintained contact with us and answered questions. The job ended up costing a little more and took a little longer than expected. It was due to 2 unexpected issues beyond Intelligent or our control which caused a slight change in drawings, engineer approval and city inspection. Love our new covered deck!! Give them a call, you won’t be disappointed."

"Job 1 (decking): prompt, pleasant to work with. Deck flooring looks neat, BUT: grossly inferior wood, full of large knots, which started cracking after three or four months. AND: Boards are spaced too close together, debris gets stuck in the cracks, blocking drainage. Job 2 (gable trim): When will it get done? "I’m thinking sometime in November." By March of the following year, still not done -- so we requested refund of down payment. He got the job done the following week."

"LOVED, LOVED, LOVED working with STL Build Pro! They remodeled our basement and made it an amazing space, that we are already enjoying! Our basement was completely unfinished - they worked with us to design the entire space. We added a living space, wet bar, bedroom, play area, 2 bathrooms (one full bath and a half bath) and laundry area! Every member of the team is extremely professional and courteous and so enjoyable to work with - even our kids loved having them around and talking to them every morning before they left for school! They made sure we were happy and satisfied with each part of the basement. They pay attention to every little detail! We added on some small projects upstairs as well, and they were very accommodating to any additional renovations we wanted to do or any changes we requested to things they were already working on in the basement. "Hired STL D&B to replace a failing, old deck. New deck was built perfectly and beautifully but there was an issue with the manufacture of the composite. Once informed of the issue STL D&B went above and beyond to contact manufacturer and get us new composite and re-deck. Becky (Deck Team Lead) is very polite and amazing, making sure we were informed at every step of the build. Aaron and Brandon (Deck Build Team) are, hands down, the BEST build team, making sure everything was perfect and taking time to get my input on their ideas for the build. Rob (Sales) is just an all-around great guy, not your typical "pushy sales bro", he took the time to listen to what we wanted and offered up solutions and recommendations to fit our vision. I will be hiring STL D&B again for future projects and fully appreciate everything they have done for me and my family."
