"Feel like we were completely ripped off. ONE GFCI outlet installed ? we were charged over $600 (using existing wiring!) Average cost is around $200 for this work. Called around 9AM to get someone out to our house to install an outlet. They arrived around noon and didn?t start any work as they needed to inspect the electrical panel. I asked multiple times throughout the inspection how much it would cost to do the job I called them for (outlet installed) as I only needed that done. I kept being told that they would give me a breakdown of work upon finishing the inspection. After multiple hours of them walking through the house and checking stuff ? we sat down and I was presented with a $12,000+ estimate for all sorts of things that I did not call them for. It?s now after 2:30PM on a Friday. We were running out of time. We had an appliance installer coming to the house at 4PM and needed this outlet installed before they arrived. Mr. Electric was aware of this situation."
