"While at first glance the work looks good the contractor could use some lessons on detail. Basically, CR is painting the tile with a durable, highly adhesive paint. When painting it is customary to remove from the wall fixtures that can be removed in order to paint "behind" them-- i.e. light fixtures, electrical plates, etc. CR did none of that. They merely taped over the fixtures and went to town. The result is that around all of those fixtures I can still see a thin border with the original blue/pink tile. Worse, we informed them that one of the light fixtures would definitely be replaced with another with a smaller footprint and they still painted around it so now we have a large blue border around that fixture. In addition, CR failed to properly coordinate work with the general contractor resulting in some tiles going unpainted entirely. Some of those unpainted tiles were eventually painted but not all of them. Our experience with the durability of the product is mixed. The work in the hall bathroom has stood up to heavy use. There has been very little chipping and zero peeling. However, in the master bathroom the shower floor began to peel up less than a year after the work was complete. We called CR and it came out to repair. That repair peeled up less than a year later. We called again and CR repaired it again. It peeled up again and we called again. This time I was informed that to properly repair the peeling they would need at least $300 additional dollars. This was quite frustrating given that the shower floor had never lasted more than the one year warranty. Rather than pay for a repair I felt should have been done for in the course of doing good business I made the repair myself. I stripped off all the old paint, scuffed and etched the tile, and then used a contrasting textured concrete paint to refinish the shower floor. I looks much better and thus far has stood up much better than the original work. Overall, the quality of the work could be better as well as customer service. The product seems to be good if applied properly."

"As part of a makeover to refresh my 1930s bathroom, I engaged Miracle Method to refinish the tub which had an ugly rust stain under the faucet from a persistent drip. I decided to have them refinish the wall tile as well. The entire experience was very positive from estimate to scheduling through work and follow up. I have nothing but praise for the people who completed the work and the office staff who coordinated the scheduling. Everyone was friendly, professional and responsive. The cost may be a bit higher than other vendors, but you get what you pay for and the result is beautiful -- exactly as I anticipated. I am very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend them.

"Our shower pan had been installed improperly years before and was leaking to the floor below.  While some contractors recommend tearing out the entire travertine tile shower ($$$), our preference was to only remove the stone necessary to repair the leak.  To do so, New Transitions had to take out our heavy glass enclosure, tear out the shower floor and gently remove the first row of wall tiles so as not to chip or crack adjacent stone.  Mark and Brian did an amazing job of removing only the stone necessary to replace our leaking shower pan with a new system and then putting everything back together so that the repair is completely invisible ? the new stone and grout matches the old perfectly. 
In addition to the shower repairs, New Transitions built and installed a custom wood-paneled tub skirt that allows access to the tub?s plumbing and motor.  They also installed crown molding and custom mirror and trim for four bathroom mirrors.  Finally, they reversed a door in a wood-paneled office that required a significant amount of detailed woodworking to get right. 
This is the second bathroom New Transitions has renovated for us, and once again we couldn?t have been happier with the result.  Mark and Brian do meticulous work and really care that everything is done correctly, something very rare in contractors these days.  They were on time and on budget, and a pleasure to have in our home for 2+ weeks.

"I am very, very happy with the beautiful job that Signature KB did in remodeling my kitchen and two bathrooms. Linda did a superb job at helping me design and visualize my project, sending me to great places, coming up with suggestion after suggestion when I was unsure of my options. Their choices for cabinets, hardware, faucets, countertop materials and the like were endless and I was very happy with where Linda sent me to pick out my appliances and granite. The contractor with which Linda worked, Thacker Construction, was very good, and very timely once the counter tops were ready to be installed. The reason for 4 stars as opposed to all 5 is that I had no idea that touch-up painting was not included. There were a lot of places where the wall that was newly exposed or created was either bare or had previous wall color/coverings, and I did not realize that the job was considered "completed" without the considerable amount of painting that needed to be done. I did suggest to Linda that that fact be shared with the client early on, so that no one is taken by surprise and left to their own devises! Other than that, I am entirely pleased and love living in and showing off my newly remodeled rooms!"

"My wife and I own a home that was built in 1898. When we were soliciting bids for a LONG OVERDUE bathroom remodel, I had cast a pretty wide net on Angie's List trying to find a contractor with experience working with old homes, and someone I felt that we could trust. I found that contractor with Dunn Home Improvements.
Josh Dunn and his brother, Mike, began work on our bathroom renovation on a Monday morning. Upon entering the home, they laid down drop cloths and stair savers to keep from tracking in - and out - debris and general construction mess through the house. The demolition took a half day, and everything was carefully removed, and very meticulously cleaned. Color me impressed!
The rest of the project flew by, with Josh and Mike framing in the bathroom, running electric, plumbing, et cetera. The first week ended with leveling compound on the floor, set to cure and level out what was quite possibly the most un-even floor in our old home -- mission accomplished! The second week buttoned up with a beautiful tile job, painting, and installation of cabinets. We finally had a bathroom that we could be proud of. The transformation was complete!
I plan on keeping Josh and Mike on speed-dial for other projects for our home. Throughout the entire engagement, I felt not only informed, but empowered. The attention to detail is second-to-none, and I almost can't wait to start more renovation projects to work with Dunn Home Improvements again."
