"We had our radon fan replaced by Radon Bros in January 2025. From the beginning, the new fan was noticeably louder than the previous one. At that time, the technician advised us that the increased noise was due to the fan being stronger than our prior unit. Over time, the fan became increasingly louder and ultimately stopped working in early December 2025. When a technician returned to replace the fan, we were informed that the fan originally installed was defective and that Radon Bros had stopped using that manufacturer due to known issues. Despite this, we were charged a $99 labor fee for the replacement. We do not understand why we were responsible for this charge when the failure was due to a defective fan that your company was already aware of and no longer installs. We felt we had no choice but to pay the $99 in order to have our radon mitigation system restored and functioning properly. "

"I paid this company $600 to test the air in my detached garage. The results showed Cladosporium, which many professionals told me is extremely common. They sent me a remediation proposal for over $45,000, and in my personal opinion the scope, tone, and sheer intensity of the warnings felt completely disproportionate to the situation. The estimate was filled with pages of dramatic health claims that, to me, came across as fear tactics rather than professional guidance. When I asked questions, the owner was extremely rude and dismissive on the phone. The whole thing felt pushy and uncomfortable. After leaving an honest review, things escalated in a way that shocked me. The owner contacted me and offered a refund only if I signed a notarized disclaimer that he drafted. I personally found that very unusual, and I chose not to sign anything. What concerned me even more was what happened next: after I declined to sign the document, a negative review suddenly appeared online about my wife’s business — at our home address — claiming she had done work for him and stolen $600 from him. In my experience, this was completely untrue. My wife has never worked for him in any capacity. In my personal opinion, it felt retaliatory and deeply unprofessional. I ended up getting several second opinions from other mold professionals, all of whom felt the quote I received was excessive for what was found. Based on my experience with the customer service, the tone of the estimate, and the way things unfolded afterward, I would strongly recommend that other homeowners get multiple quotes before agreeing to anything. In my personal view, the way this situation was handled was alarming, unprofessional, and not in the best interest of the customer."

Different goals require different environmental tests, i.e. medical damages and property damages require different environmental tests to prove your case in court. Tests that a common, or inexperienced, mold inspector would not typically use or know to use.

"Our inspector, Joe Donnelly, was recommended by our realtor. He was very nice and did catch a lot of smaller things on our home inspection. However, he majorly screwed up on the electrical part of the inspection: he noted that there were a few double tapped breakers that we should get fixed, but somehow did not notice that none of the breakers were GFCI or arc-fault protected. He also missed the lack of sticker on the box, which meant the electrical work in the house had never been inspected (or at least never passed). When we called an electrician in to fix the double tapped breaker issue, he immediately pointed out the non- arc fault, non-GFCI, no inspection situation and was shocked the home inspector didn't notice either issue. We now have gotten estimates of several thousand dollars to fix the electrical issues, expenses we were not planning on. If Joe had found these issues, we likely would not have gone through with buying this house."
