"Eugene came out and made a precise set of measurements at the time of estimate, and gave us a clear estimate on the type of stone which we wanted. They scheduled the work as soon as we had made the materials deposit, and they arrived with the stone, which fit closely, and then they custom cut all of the contertops and backsplash, and reinstalled our sink and were finished in one day. (Note: They are not licensed insured for plumbing or appliance installation, so that needs to be scheduled separately. This is legitimate, but the customer should take this into consideration when planning the project.) <br /> They did a GREAT job, and I would hire them again for any stone work! <br />"

"The experience with Stone Interiors was first rate. They are out in the country, a short distance to travel, but well worth it. They have a very large inventory of stone and not only could we choose the pattern but we also were able to choose the slab. The sales person was helpful and professional as were the installers who arrived on time, as scheduled, and installed the 2 countertops without any problems. We would recommend this company whole-heartedly, and have already. <br />"

"Excellently....I have been meaning to do this for a few months now. Had new countertops put in the kitchen....want to recommend the fabricator, Ryan McGee at Stonehenge in North Charleston (843 475 7169). He works with all the places that actually sell the stone and makes the process seamless (pun intended). I was asked by several designers where I wanted the seam for the countertop....Ryan looked over the kitchen and said...no seam necessary. And he was right. He matched the grain beautifully and got the best look out of the quartzite we bought. He was extremely easy to work with...very accommodating, very reasonably priced, service was excellent. The installers were great and I have never seen 2 men work so hard in my life. I can recommend Stonehenge without reservations."

"Tommy was at my door less than 36hrs after we first talked on the phone. My granite was in desperate need of TLC. He was very kind and went the extra mile to make sure every chip and scratch was repaired, then everything was sealed with a 15 year sealer and polished to a shine I haven't seen in years. I can't even find where the chips and divots used to be! I won't call anyone else. It's refreshing to find someone honest who cares about your home and his work so much. Thanks Tommy!"

"Ivan and Peter were great. Initial contact was with Ivan. Visited workplace and met with Viktor. He was very good in explaining my options as to stone, finishes and sink options. Same day Ivan gave me the total quote for the job. Ivan and Peter came at the end of the week with the crew. Install was perfect. stone was exactly as I selected, cutting perfectly done and installation was quickly done in a very workmanship manner. Communications were excellent. Strongly recommended for all your counter top needs at a very fair price. <br />"

"It was okay.  The flood was on July 7th, 2015.  I had to pay them $1000 dollars up front before they even walked in the door.   That's difficult because there were some things that they did a really really good job on but as soon as I didn't want to go with who they wanted to do, replacing my floors or you know basically just my floors because I'm an accountant and I have not one but two flooring contractors and I know their work and that's who I wanted to do the work and that upset me that if I was going to give high end work in the counter tops and the floors to someone other than them then they left the job.  They didn't finish what they started.  I had to bring in another restoration company to finish the job.  They did a good job for what they did.  They just didn't want to finish it when I wouldn't let them do what they called the high end job, which was granite counter tops and hardwood floors.  When I refused to use their people and insisted on using my own then they said, well, they just left the job and I had to have someone else come in to pick up where ever they left off at and complete it.  I thought the price may be a little bit high.  There was one guy, and he was like the manager, that was absolutely awesome.  I mean he did everything he possibly could for me but he's also the one that said well if your going to pull the high end stuff for someone else to do then we're going to leave."

"<p> Affordable Granit provided exceptional professional service throughout the entire process.  They provided advice on selecting a stone to going "above and beyond" in fabrication and installation.   Specifics: Two of my counter tops were very long and most other (if not all) fabricators would have cut them into two pieces. That, of course, meant two seams would have been required (of course no one wants a seam).  Affordable granite decided they would cut each of them into single pieces, to avoid any seems and provide the best looking product for me.  The counters are beautiful, and I have recommend them to friends, co-workers and family.   This is a privately owned husband and wife company, and they have been working granite for nearly 30 years. Their entire staff is polite and respectful, so If you want a quality job, give them a call!</p> <p> <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"Overall, I was beyond pleased with the finished product. I have exclusively used Custom Designs for all my home restoration, renovation, and handyman repair needs for the last 3 years and wouldn't even consider calling someone else for this type of work. Aaron's prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of work and the great attention to detail he possesses. The work was done in a timely manner, and he always stayed late and worked weekends if needed. I was not present some of the times, yet I felt confident and trusting of Aaron to be in my home while I was away. I was impressed with how well he listened to what I wanted, but also with the suggestions he offered to really finish off the project in a beautiful way. The greatest thing is that I can always trust Aaron to stick to his bids. He has never come back to me with an increase in price and it's extremely rare to find someone with that level of commitment!"

"(as per my daughter-in-law who had the work done at her home) <br /> I will begin by saying that the finished product looks great and we are happy with the counter tops. My husband and I came from the construction trade and we have a lot of experience with remodeling projects. <br /> That being said, I would not use this company again. Frankly, if it wasn't for Janice in the office, I would have given this company a D. The other 2 ladies in the office wouldn't return my calls. <br /> To begin with, we requested that Stone City come to our home to measure and give us a quote. The owner came and measured. He provided a quote immediately. We were really happy with that because we couldn't get the other company we were considering to come measure until we verbally confirmed that they had the job. However, the owner then used the time in our home to try to get my husband and me to shop at his discount website, offering a leaf blower at $40. I felt this was very unprofessional since it had nothing to do with the service we had requested. Not a huge thing though. He was very pleasant. He told me that he had measured so that damage from removing the old laminate counters would be covered by the quartz backsplash. <br /> The installers arrived within the scheduled time frame. Neither of the installers spoke English. This made communication difficult because all discussions with individuals in the same room needed to be routed via phone calls through their main office. Our counter tops came in 4 pieces (including the island). The smallest piece went between the wall and the stove. Unfortunately, this piece was too wide and did not fit in the intended space. With no prior discussion of the issue with us, the installers knocked a 4-inch high hole in the kitchen wall behind the lower cabinet, beginning at the front of the counter space and going all the way to the back wall, so that the excess could be installed INSIDE the wall. I tried to ask him what he was doing, but all he could say was, and quot; It's no problem.and quot; I didn't agree. I got on the phone immediately and spoke to Janice. She had someone in the office call the installer to find out what was going on. She called me back and told me that the the reason given for what happened was that the wall wasn't straight. (I checked the wall with a straight-edge and found it to be perfectly straight.) When I challenged their reasoning, it was explained that the side wall and the back wall weren't square. (Again, I checked and found this claim also to be false.) Janice was at a loss. She told me that it was a and quot;common practiceand quot;. (Having counter tops installed in past homes, it was something I had never witnessed before.) I also had not seen either of the men use a level anywhere but where the two large pieces came together. HEADS_UP: Janice told me that they don't level the counter tops in a standard installation and if I wanted that done, it would be an extra charge if they had to shim anywhere to make the counters level. I was shocked. The installers caulked the sink and backsplash, and quot;cleaned upand quot;, and left. Their caulking job was messy. I had to scrape silicone off of my new SS sink and the top of the backsplash needed to be re-caulked (by me) because the bead was shoddy and cracked within a few weeks. As I was cleaning up, I found all of the screws that held the original countertops had been left inside the cabinets. I will say that the seam where the two large pieces meet is only noticeable if you know where to look and you look really hard. On that, they did a beautiful job. The backsplash was shorter than we were told it would be and it does not come up far enough to cover where the old backsplash was. <br /> Stone City's plumber came later to hook up the faucet and install a new garbage disposal. He was a nice guy. He did good work. We paid Stone City a SEPARATE fee of $250 for him to do that work for us. <br /> About 2 weeks later, I called Stone City to order sink grates for the 60/40 sink they installed. Janice told me the grates would be $100 because they were custom-made for my particular sink. I thought that was pricey, but agreed. It took almost a month to get them because the lady in the office (NOT Janice) didn't actually put the order in until a week before I got them. (I had to call several times to request and ETA on the grates. Janice didn't have the info because she didn't do the orders.) I did finally get them. They fit very nicely and seem to be good quality. <br /> I gave them an overall C because they have Janice working in the office. She is the only one I worked with following the measure who seemed to care about us as customers. The A for Punctuality is ONLY because the installers showed up on time. Other than Janice, I couldn't get a phone call returned from anyone. Janice brought up the Responsiveness grade from an F. Professionalism was given a D because... well, read the review. Janice brought that grade up, but she could only do so much. <br /> <br /> <br />"
