I discovered that I had some extensive dry rot in my roof.  I was frantic. I needed to get the roof replaced fast.  I called about 8 contractors and left messages for them to call me back so that I could get a bid for repair and replacing my roof.  Only three  bothered to call me back and all 3 gave me a bid.  Two of the bidders said that they couldn't get on my roof until November or December.  I had never used Angie's List before but decided to check it out.  I looked through the listings for roofing contractors and read the reviews.  I decided to call Roof Tech Specialties even though they were located about 60 miles away.  I got ahold of Jamie Stepp.  He told me that he would come by at 1:00 the next day to give me a bid.  The next day at 12:30 he was considerate enough to  call  me to let me know that he would be about 45 minutes later than 1:00.  When he got there, he did a thorough inspection of my house and gave me a bid that was acceptable to me an my wife.  I asked him how soon they could get started.  He told me in two weeks.  I was elated.  A couple days later Jamie called me and asked if they could get started on  the next day.   WOW!!   The crew arrived on schedule and went right to work.  The job took 3 days and these were the hottest days of this Summer.  I supplied the crew with Ice water that was much needed.  I will have to say that all of the crew we really great.  Jamie over saw the work and worked along with the crew.  I am very pleased with the job that they did.  They cleaned up after themselves and there was not a trace of the old roofing left any where around my property.  I have a two and a half car garage that also needs a new roof and Jamie and his men are going to replace that roof soon.  I will certainly be recommending  Roof Tech Specialties to anyone else that I know that is needing a new roof.

"The good experience with Raindrop started with the estimate; Lee was knowedgeable and up front with me about the need to fix my chimney before they could do the roof work; neither of the other roofing contractors had mentioned that. When I accepted their bid, but the work couldn't start for over a month, they held the original price even though the cost of materials had just gone up. When they came to do the work, they were courteous and always willing to answer any questions I had about the process. "Wanted to share the experience I just had with JLV Re-Roofing my 27 year old roof. From the time I was contacted by them to come out for a Free estimate to the time they drove the trailer away after the job was done, these guys were FIRST Class! The salesman, AR, did a fantastic job paying close attention to details that all the other companies missed during my bidding process. He pointed out things like my bathroom fan vents were going out thru my intakes and needed flapper vents installed in the roof for them. He also took note of my skylight and advised it get replaced while the roof was new. He asked about installing a roof anchor for safety to help with maintaining my roof. Little things yes, but things that are VERY important to protecting my main asset! Most of the other guys just came, took some measurements, and said I will send you a quote in a few days via email, without even asking me what I wanted in my new roof (i.e. HIGH profile ridge, what type of shingles, warranty I was looking for, etc.). One company was more interested in changing my attic ventilation all around and getting it up to the latest code, when NONE of my plywood was moldy or rotten and it is not required by law so why change what has worked for 27 years! JLV confirmed my house had adequate and equal intake and exhaust, and that we did not need to cut a bunch of new holes in the roof or eaves. That is the kind of straight up honesty you will get with JLV. The work crew was phenomenal! It took them two days to tear off and re-roof my 29 square home. During the project, the foreman would check in with me on how it was looking and if I had any questions or concerns. The crew paid attention to every detail in my quote and did an incredible job! I am one happy customer and would recommend JLV to anybody out there looking to put a new roof on their house. Don't be timid by the size of this company. "I had a 2nd layer put on about 12 years ago. It was suppose to be good for 30 years (I guessed 20) but the workmanship was lacking and it had been leaking in the valleys for a number of years. IDEAL was the last one to bid but in short time talking, I decided on them. After stripping 2 layers, they had to replace a number of plywood sheets as the old ones were disintegrating. Ideal did a Superb Job working around rainy days. They installed all new flashing, new vents and metal around all roof edges. Even the skylight needed to be replaced. Glad to have a dry garage and no leaks in the house. THANKS IDEAL ROOFING!!"

"Miguel was very quite and polite. There was absolutely no pressure or attempt to beguile me into a deeper project. His crew was respectful as well. They played their music at a low volume not disrupting myself or neighbors. This has been a problem with other work crews in my neighborhood. Miguel did exactly what he said he would do. He even installed 2 new roof vents for no additional cost. He was on schedule and was successfully in and out of the project. He did not claim to know it all yet had the confidence as some one who does. My snap shot of him was a very polite, professional, well manner, and balanced individual. The roof repair he and his crew did tied into the existing roof as if there had been no damage to begin with. Other roofers tried to sell me an entire roof replacement. Me, knowing what I know, knew this to be false. People, what I have said here is true. A very reputable roofing company tried to sell me an entire teardown and replacement. They could not guarantee that their crew was good enough to repair 3 areas without potential leaking. This was astonishing to me. Miguel and his crew came in and did what I knew could be done. They did it professionally, honestly, and reasonably priced. He killed me with love but backed it up with a job well done. This is the first review iv"e ever written.
