"Our new sunroom is impressive, beautiful craftsmanship, amazing attention to detail, replacing an old sunroom. All the windows were wiped clean before they left as well as the ceiling. The windows slide effortlessly. We had a gutter issue and they came up with a creative idea to manage the water. Our neighbors are stopping to see it. We chose the windows floor to ceiling and you can see the ornamental grass through it, a beautiful look. The installers were friendly and easy to talk with. We love it! Highly recommended! A++"

"I interviewed several contractors for my main bathroom remodel and chose VKB for their professionalism, design, and overall approach to the process. My objective was to have a large shower with a seat since the existing shower was the size of a phone booth and the bathroom configuration presented challenges. From the very first meeting with the design consultant, BURJU, I was impressed with her ideas and suggestions and her willingness to work within my established budget. She didn't recommend or suggest unnecessary or unwanted over the top items that would have blown my budget. Project manager, JASON, was on top of everything, stayed in touch with me almost daily, made sure I had all the correct cabinets and fixtures, provided me with his cell number, and asked each time if I had any questions. "Daryl built our first new construction home in 2020. He made the process very simple. He already had the designs and started building the house before we purchased it. Even though he started the build, he worked with us on changes we wanted. All our requests were done at a reasonable price. Daryl used state of the art materials and practices building our home. The finished product is beautiful and more energy-efficient than I would have ever imagined. The quality of our home is unmatched by any other home we saw. Even after completion of our home Daryl has kept in touch to answer any questions we have had. Daryl stands bay and backs the quality work he does. "We contacted several contractors to get ideas and estimates on various jobs we wanted to get done. We needed some brick repaired on our mailbox, needed to replace a window that had started to rot and were interested in remodeling our bathrooms. Dave gave us very detailed estimates on all of the projects which I appreciated. We broke up the work into three separate projects and all of them went well. There were occasional issues but Dave was always responsive and did his best to resolve anything that came up. Throughout all three projects Dave provided excellent communication and was very responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. We are very pleased with the results of everything they did and are now working with Dave toward a fourth project to remodel our kitchen and put in more hardwood flooring."

"We write this review as a sigh of relief now that our renovation project with River View is finally complete. The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."

The window replacements were done 3-4 years ago.  The windows are good quality.  The measurement of one window was not done properly and the installer did a fix by adding spray foam.  The deck was done 2 years ago.  The deck installers were fired as they made so many mistakes.  The deck install was suppose to be done in a week, it took 3 weeks.

I had a service tech com out to check a deck problem in May.  He is no longer working there and was laid off with almost all of the staff in Gaithersburg.  I called over a week ago for a service follow-up call.  The receptionist in Baltimore answered the phone, as there is no one in Gaithersburg and the phones are forwarded.  I am still waiting more than a week for a follow-up service phone call to be returned by the person who schedules service calls.   I have no idea how long it will take before someone can come to my home.  I am concerned that if I had a major problem, I would be waiting months to get a window repaired.
