"We actually hired Custom Construction Services a couple of times. Both times we were extremely satisfied with their workmanship and professionalism. Derek explained everything to us. Gave us a price that was reasonable and accurate. He met the timeline he projected. And cleaned up everything after the job was complete. The first time we hired them, it was for work done in our garage. We needed additional insulation and some parts repaired. Everything came out exactly as we had hoped it would. The second time, there was a bigger job. We needed a large room in our basement refurbished and finished with new flooring, ceiling, new recessed lighting, etc. The work done was outstanding. As my wife takes care of our toddler grandson each day at our house, this new room has become our grandson’s favorite room to play it. "I've used Kevin for over ten years now on many projects. So when it came time to tackle a massive, once in a lifetime renovation to create our forever house, Kevin was the first person I went to. When Kevin and his team took on this renovation, I don’t think either party knew how big a job it was or how challenging it would be. The team did a full gut renovation on our property, down to the studs, converting a three family to a two family to create a townhouse unit above a rental property. The job involved everything from removing the old horsehair alabaster inside the walls, re-framing floor plans, re-plumbing and rewiring the entire house to installing high tech HVAC systems throughout and creating a beautiful cathedral ceiling in the living space. This was a complicated renovation but Kevin partnered well with our architect working off detailed plans he had drawn up and had a great roster of reliable subs. Kevin was there every step of the way including some complicated structural beam and bracket work he had not done before – but he figured it out, got it done and done well. He even went the extra mile on small things like matching hinges to hardware on our interior doors and finding the right shade of paint for the stairwells. He had has a good network of suppliers he referred us to but was willing to work with ones we found ourselves. The job did end up going months beyond Kevin's target completion date which put a heavy strain on our finances and overall, it could have been project-managed better. There was some miscommunication which lead to unwelcome surprises when it came to the budget but Kevin was willing to work with us to come to a suitable agreement. But overall, if you’re looking for someone skilled and trustworthy who will show up when he says he will and care about getting the best finished product for you – Kevin and his team are it."

"We recommend, without hesitation, Tom Lopatosky and all of those from LOPCO Contracting who worked on the transformative exterior revival of our recently purchased East Side home. When determining which contractor to go with, there were three things integral to our choice - ease, quality and value. As the job required not only paint, but also moderate carpentry work and a new seamless gutter system; we frankly did not want to be coordinating with two or three contractors' schedules, etc. LOPCO Contracting addressed all items for the house, making the process so much easier. The balance between quality and value can be quantified in many ways, especially when quotes vary so wildly.
