"I cannot begin to tell you how thoroughly and professionally the small animal removal task was completed. Some rodent activity was discovered in our attic. David came out on time (hugely important to me) and found evidence of entry and activity in the attic quickly. He set traps and, in a few days, returned to check the traps, closed up entry points, and installed new soffit vents. David's punctuality, knowledge of his trade, and enthusiasm about what and how he does his job have me ready to hire him again if I have any other wildlife issues. I highly recommend Diamond Back Wildlife to anyone needing small animal removal done right! David Terriaco Fort Myers"

"He called immediately and was able to determine my pest issue over the phone. He was extremely helpful and most of all honest. If I were to have a pest issue in the future Paske Pest Control would be my first call!"

"The removal was accomplished. I was hoping it would take less time but there was confusion about the exact location of the animal which delayed pinpointing where the trap should be set. I was very impressed with the responsiveness both initially and throughout the project. The final trap was set on the roof and when I called Chuck at midnight to let him know the raccoon was in the cage, he came right over and got it knowing how anxious I was to be rid of it. I appreciated how humanely the animal was captured and how far away it was taken for relocation so there was no chance of return."

"I have had noises in the attic for a week or so that wasn't going away.  I figured we must have rodents even though I have a fairly new home.  We live by a preserve.  I searched the web for phone numbers of Pest removal companies.  I came up with the big names...Terminex, Orkin etc...   I explained the issue.  Noise in the attic. As soon as I said that... all the companies started with a sales pitch.  They all said we will send someone out to check where they are coming in.  Once we find the openings we will seal them and then set the traps.  We will also set you up for quarterly checks.  Total to seal the house so they can't get in was $850 to as much as $2000...Then the trap set for $395 and then quarterly fee (I never asked how much...Just said no thanks).  I decided to look for a local company (Not a Wall St company).  I came across Quest.  I saw some good reviews and gave them a call.  I got the owner Patrick on the phone.  He sounded pleasant and educated.  I told him I did not want a sales pitch and I did not want to be up-sold....All I wanted was the rodents removed.  He said absolutely. I said "How much?" he said $395.    We set up an appointment for the next morning.  He showed up on time.  Clean cut and very nice.  He placed the bait and the traps as promised. He came back 5 days later to check on things.  Everything looked great.  It seems as though we had a couple.  Both are gone now and no noise in the attic.
Needless to say, I would recommend Patrick and his company Quest to all that ask.
If you are reading this review it's because you have pests.  Really... Call the big companies and you will see exactly what I'm talking about.  It's all about up-selling.  Patrick is all about getting the job done.  No pressure... Just honest work at a fair price.
Thanks Patrick.

FAQs for small animal pest control service projects in Fort Myers, FL

Self-removal attempts using store-bought traps can cost $50, but require personal time investment and knowledge of proper handling techniques. While DIY methods might work for isolated cases, professionals bring expertise in identifying all entry points, implementing effective deterrents, and safely handling wildlife.

Consider your comfort level with wildlife management and the potential health risks—armadillos can carry disease—before deciding between professional services or personal intervention.

Most homeowners see initial results within two to five days after professional trap placement, particularly with single-animal situations. However, multiple factors can extend this timeline, including the number of animals present, weather conditions affecting activity patterns, and the complexity of your property layout.

Properties with established armadillo populations might require one to two weeks of active trapping. Discuss realistic timeframes with your wildlife specialist during the initial consultation to set appropriate expectations.

Filling and repairing burrows adds $75 to $110 per hole to your total project cost. While some comprehensive service packages include minor repairs, extensive landscape restoration requires a separate payment.

These repair costs cover materials like topsoil, sod, or concrete patching compounds, plus the labor to properly restore the damaged areas. Before finalizing any service agreement, clarify exactly which repair services are included and which will incur additional charges.

While armadillos remain active throughout the year in many regions, scheduling removal during less busy seasons for wildlife control companies might secure slightly better rates. Fall and winter months often see reduced demand for these services, potentially offering more scheduling flexibility and competitive pricing.

However, the most cost-effective approach is addressing armadillo issues promptly when first noticed, regardless of season, as delaying can lead to more extensive damage and higher ultimate costs.
