"Mike and Jose at Fountain Blue Pools, are both exceptionally knowledgeable and pleasantly responsive. I have a 22 year old pool that is not only outdated, but very complex (infinity edge). I had been advised by more than one "professional" pool company to replace the entire pool and setup. Mike and Jose were able to easily and efficiently repair and enhance the existing setup. These two are exemplary employees, probably the best that I have experienced in my 30 years in South Florida. I would recommend them all day long."

"Kevin came out to give us an estimate on a new pool heater installation. He was really nice and answered my questions. Since this is our first time owning a pool. We had our new heater installed yesterday, which was quicker than I thought it was going to be done. The gentleman that came out to install the heater was also very nice and informative. He went out of his way to answer more questions. So far the unit is working great. I am definitely using them again and recommend their services."

"The main 150-amp circuit breaker to my home kept tripping periodically, shutting off all power. I called the power company, Florida Power & Light (FPL), and they told me that since the circuit breaker was located between the electric meter and my house, I was responsible for repairing it. In searching for a licensed electrician to check out / repair the problem, I called FPL Energy Services (FPLES), a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc which also owns FPL. When I called, their “Home Electrical Services” phone number, the phone was answered by Jupiter-Tequesta. I said that I was trying to reach FPLES, and the representative said that Jupiter-Tequesta had been purchased by FPLES. I explained the problem and they scheduled an electrician to come out the next day between 3 and 6 pm. The next day, the electrician called to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he checked the outside main breaker and the inside breakers, but he could not find anything obviously wrong with either part of the system. I asked if the main breaker might be weak due to its age (about 38 years), and he said it was possible. I asked if he could just replace it. He said he would check if the breaker itself was still available, if not he would have to replace the entire outside breaker box. He checked online, determined that the breaker was available and provided me with a quote of $507 to do the work. A few hours after he left, I called Jupiter-Tequesta and told them that I wanted the work done. We scheduled the service call for 10 days later between 8 and 11am. The next day I received a coupon in the mail from Jupiter-Tequesta for $50 towards electrical service. The coupon was unrelated to my interaction with them, as it had been mailed before I ever contacted them. On the scheduled day, the electrician called to tell me he was on his way. He arrived shortly thereafter, completed the work quickly and accepted the coupon."

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Fort Pierce, FL

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
