"I requested an estimate from Fairfax Contractors online on 11/3. I received a call to schedule an appt almost immediately. I missed the call, but quickly received a text in addition to a voicemail. I called back and was able to send Glen a picture of the issue I had with my wrought iron fence. He was able to diagnose the problem and gave me an estimate right away. The estimate was $150 less than another company quoted me so, I definitely wanted to move ahead with the job! No surprise, they were booked 2-3 weeks out. I returned the signed contract and let Glen know that if there was any way we could get it done sooner, that would be great. Luckily, they had a job they were working on near my house and they were able to start after just one week of waiting (11/11). They require a deposit (1/3rd of cost) and it was very easy to get that done over the phone with Tony. Once the job was complete, Glen took a video of the fence and sent it to me. I live out of state, so I appreciated him showing me the final product that way. Overall, I had a great experience with Fairfax Contractors. Glen was very responsive on email, text and by phone. I’m having them look at another project and hope to use them again in the future."

They've painted a powder room and installed a vanity, light and mirror in it, they've installed in-line water filters, and there even put in an area of hardwood flooring. Left messages and they do not call back. Scheduling the estimate and work took more than one call. The billing for down payment was different than one listed on the estimate. Second time I have used them, believe their quality and price is more important than their lack of internal coordination and responsiveness."

They put in a lot of crappy boards. They were the only ones that I found that replied that would put in the fence that I wanted. Most of it was very good, but, of course, on the far side of the yard I found lots of boards that were not up to snuff. Eight years ago they got the fence in. I wasn't there (when they did the work). I would use them again in the future only if I stood over them with a shotgun. They could have used better boards and given me a lighter gauge. I wasn't there for the most part and they were all Hispanic so I've got no idea how the workers were, but the contractor that was watching over them had no complaints.
