I spoke with Nancy (very nice) several times and she put me in touch with the owner who explained to me what to look for, what to do, both to protect the well and restore my water, in the meantime. I did both and we were fine until the technician arrived. The technician, Clay Crawford, was a super nice guy, very competant, amiable, and efficient. He dug out the pipe, made the repairs, sanitized the well, and made sure that everything was working fine before he left. "I called Fred on a Friday afternoon (at the recommendation of a neighbor) and explained to him that I'd had a plumbing company come out the previous week to check into my fluctuating water pressure. They said I needed a new pressure switch and water bladder so they installed a new tank, which cost me $500. When the water pressure continued to fluctuate (though not as badly), I called the plumber back and he came out, checked the tank under the house and then told me I probably needed a new pump for my well, which he said would cost around $2K. He gave me the name of another company, and said they would probably be able to give him a better price. Fred was so gracious and knowledgeable. He explained to me that there are several reasons for fluctuating water pressure and ways to test for them. He said he'd come by on Monday morning to take a look. He came out first thing to fit me in before another appointment. It turned out that the pressure switch hadn't been adjusted correctly - once that was done the problem just disappeared! You can bet when I do need a pump (or have any other issues) I will call Fred FIRST. Thank you Fred!"

"After I reviewed on line information regarding mold removal and crawl space encapsulation, I began looking for a contractor that would perform the necessary steps to remediate my crawl space. After obtaining several quotes and researching the various companies involved in crawl space mold issues, I selected Kefficient. The major reasons for selecting Kefficient was that I found that the owner, Mark Keffer, was very knowledgeable about mold removal and encapsulation and followed Chesterfield County requirements in permitting, removal of all mold contaminated insulation between floor joists, treatment of mold with a chemical agent which effectively destroys it, cleaning of all areas where mold has grown to remove any remaining spores, sealing the crawlspace vents, encapsulating and insulating the crawlspace, and installing a permanent dehumidifier with an in home monitoring device to ensure moisture levels remained within acceptable limits. His company did an excellent job during this process and kept me informed along every step of the way. After completion, the job was inspected by a Chesterfield County inspector and passed all requirements. Mr. Keffer's attention to permitting requirements is of especial notice as some companies are offering encapsulation without meeting those requirements. Another factor which I considered was that Kefficient was very price competitive with other vendors.
