"Steve Norfolk and his crew dug down to the footing and applied the waterproof material a section at a time.  The original plan was to dig the entire area first and then apply the waterproof material all at the same time.  However daily torrential rains turned the area into a sea of mud, so he decided to do it a section at a time to minimize problems associated with the rain.  He had to break up a concrete slab (porch) for 1/2 the front, and approximately 25 feet of driveway next to the house.  Progress was slow due to the rain and mud, but Steve steadfastly pursued the completion of the job despite the setbacks.  Although justifiably discouraged by the rain and lack of progress, he exhibited a positive "can do" attitude and kept at it.  The finished product was professionally done.  Backfill and all concrete were properly completed, and grass seed applied.  Steve is a conscientious professional who knows his business and can be relied upon to do the work he says he will accomplish.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.

"VRN Masonry repaired our patio, repaired the block supporting our garage wall, and poured concrete to fill in under our front porch. They responded quickly and meet our need to get the work done quickly. The quality of the work is very good. We are pleased with the work they did--it certainly met our needs. "They were remarkable. First, they excavated the minimum needed to repair our drain and install the CIPP liner. They saved our front cement and brick staircase (directly over the main house sewer line). They only removed one section of the sidewalk that was over the main house sewer line. When done, they filled and compacted the dirt, covered the lawn with straw (i.e., ready for me to add seed and to avoid erosion) and replaced the damaged sidewalk section. The workers were polite and respectful of both us and our property. There was truly minimal disruption to the household. We could not flush toilets or run water down the drains for about 3 hours each day they worked on the line. We contracted for repair of the pipe that was on our property. They completed this work in two days. We then added re-lining the pipe under the road to the county connection. The team added people for and worked late on the second day. Job done on day 3. The job took 3 days (as promised)."

"They gave us an estimate on 03/22 and we agreed on 04/04.  They started work on 04/11, with the removal of the existing brick patio and the flower garden,  They poured a concrete base, bringing both these areas to the same height as the sidewalk.  They then built a dry-stack stone enclosure on the front and side of our porch, and installed the square cut flagstone cap on the entire area.  Finally, they built an area of concrete, about four inches wide, to transition from the driveway to the new flagstone area.  This was done in about four days of work, including one day when they had to build a tent-like structure over the work site to shield them from the rain,  The entire crew was courteous, neat, and professional.  We would recommend their service to anyone."

"Very well. The crews were always prompt, professional and knowledgeable, friendly and willing to answer any questions. They transferred recoverable oil from our old tank into the new one, and filled the old tank with concrete to the inspector's specifications and satisfaction, then connected the new tank to our furnace. "Professionalism: they had all the right tools, brought a big and experienced crew, worked quickly and did not go over the amount they estimated.
Punctualism: they arrived early and left late (yet didn't charge us extra)
Quality: they removed a ton of large, invasive trees on hilly, wet ground all without damaging the existing grass or knocking trees into structures or other trees.  In my opinion, this was probably a really tough job considering how many large trees we had.  There was one stump that Andrew wouldn't have been able to grind without ruining the grass and making a mud pit and I REALLY liked that he pulled me aside and asked me if I wanted him to attempt it or just leave it instead of acting without asking us.  
Dealing with problems: Andrew's crew ended up accidentally nicking a brick on our driveway retaining wall.  Andrew immediately offered to have the brick repaired, apologized and, to be extra fair, didn't bill us for $500 of the work until after the brick was fixed so that we would feel extra comfortable.  How cool is that?

"They came out today to provide an estimate on fixing a frozen pipe. They ran a snake through the pipe to see if anything was in the pipe causing the clog.  They also checked our crawl space to see if they could access the pipe from that area, but unfortunately are not able to.  They're going to have to remove the siding from the house, clear out the pipe, re-insulate it and replace the siding. Their estimate of $1,200 seems like a fair price.  I especially liked the fact that they took off their shoes before entering the house.  Everyone was very professional, prompt and courteous.  I did pay them today for the snake service and inspection."
