"They didn't have to. I thought we had a garage door issue, and they came out. It had fixed itself. The gentlemen explained what often happens about something coming unconnected. All you do is run the garage door a couple times, to hook the cable back together. We didn't do it enough before he came out here. He didn't charge me anything. Nope. He was only here for five minutes. He said what was the problem, I told him this door here won't open look. I pressed the button, and it opened. They came at a convenient time. They called when they said they were on their way. They were very punctual. I felt like a complete fool, not figuring it worked for the week, before the appointment. I explained the issues we were having and he replaced the rollers and made some adjustments. WOW what a difference it made! I forgot how quiet the door sounded when it was new. "Terrific, we decided to go w/ Stoneberger because their sales representative spent time advising and guiding us through the options, the colors and styles of doors. She listened to what we thought we wanted and helped us find the right solution. No other sales rep we met with offered that customer service. She also followed up on time and was super easy to work with once we decided on specific doors. Installation also was on time, efficient and went very smoothly. We had one issue that arose b/c of the age of our house and Stoneberger addressed it quickly and beyond fairly. Highly recommend them."

"Prompt, solid service. We did run into a garage door glitch a couple months later that I suspect might have been related to a screw that somehow got loose and created some problems. I called the company around 11 am and left a message. Someone got back to me within 30 minutes and said that they would get someone over to take a look at it that day. A workman arrived about 3 hours later, quickly identified the problem (including fixing the incorrect fix that I had made) and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. I somehow managed to lose a special size screw and he promised to drop one off at the house the next time he is in the area. I was very pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism. The workman (Jim?) explained what I had done wrong and how I made the mistake for future reference."

"It finally came time for us to replace two old wooden garage doors. First I did some research on garage doors in general. Lots of info on the Internet. Then I did extensive research on quality garage door contractors in my area. Used Yelp and other sources. Came up with a list of five quality candidates and sent details to each for bids. Eliminated 3 in relatively short order for various reasons. Came down to two candidates for the same two door options (either a Clopay or a CHI) -- Academy and another contractor. I focused on all decisioning points -- service, price, features, warranty, etc. Both were very close on price so that was not a discriminating factor. However, all the other factors came out very much in favor of Academy. Our sales contact, Dave McLaughlin was superb. Knowledgeable, responsive, helpful. The two managers at HQ -- John and Alan -- also very professional and responsive. So I did the order with Academy and selected the Clopay doors. Doors arrived in the time period they said. Scheduled the install. Jim and Coach (two HUGE guys!) showed up and did the install. They were even able to deal with the fact that my floor was off level just a shade. Made the doors fit well. Thanks guys! So far so good! Love the new doors! SO much better than the old ones in every way. Now I have to fix up my house b/c the garage doors are now the best part!"
