"There were several pieces of lumber that needed to be cut out and replaced, which required strengthening the whole structure with wooden braces while the work was being performed. Gary had to think outside the box and consider different options to find the best solution. In the end, the approach he took was relatively quick for the situation and very safe. The result was a carport nicely restored, stronger than it has ever been. Throughout the process, Gary was responsive, efficient and very good at explaining his train of thought and his plans. Mike worked efficiently completing the demolition of the previous stairs and railing in one day. He identified and corrected structural deficiencies from the previous construction and completed the remodel and finish work within the time he originally stated it would take to complete the job. He was even able to stay on-budget with the exception of the additional repairs identified during demolition. Even then, he discussed any changes early and found effective solutions that didn’t significantly increase the cost of completing the work.
