"I’ve been doing a lot of improvements to my yard this year and wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to James of [*** Link removed ***] He has been taking care of my sprinkler system for 3 years now but the changes I needed this time were extensive. Despite having a 30-yr old system, he managed to make old and new work together seamlessly. I’m impressed by this very kind young man. He has an incredible work ethic and did a fantastic job adding new drip lines to my beds and pots and replacing the old heads that no longer functioned well. The folks at Greenimage have all been wonderful to work with."

"I used Warweg for the first time last year as my long-time irrigation guy retired. They were ok, not great but acceptable (3.5 out of 5). However, this year, they have apparently either gained more customers, lost several employees, or combination of both. I waited weeks for service on heads that needed fixed, while my lawn slowly died in the heat this year. When they finally showed up, they left my yard looking like a mole had done the work. I don't see a way to add photos here but, be assured, they left a mess that an amateur would be ashamed of. Trying to contact Warweg for any reason is frustrating as the office staff seems to have very little knowledge of why everything takes so long and they seem to be in a constant state of disarray. I'm going to find another irrigation service for next year. I would do so immediately but I paid up front for the entire year. I would strongly encourage any reader to keep looking for an irrigation service other than Warweg."

"Misha, the office scheduler, checked to be certain that our workmen were not at risk from the electrical issue, and she was able to send Jeff and Antonio to do the repairs promptly. If they had told us that the entire system had to be replaced, we would have believed them, but they told us that the damage looked worse than it really was, and in 2 hours, the damaged pipes were replaced and the valve box repaired. The system is working well, and we are very grateful."

"I had been a customer of Custom Touch for 25 years. It was a great company, prior to about 2012. Several years ago, a technician from CTI winterized the system, but the schedule was delayed until November - temperatures were in the low thirties when the technician came to do the Winterization. The following Spring we discovered that an issue had been caused due to attempting to switch off the system when there had been a freeze that morning. The technician must have known that he had caused this issue, but said nothing. CTI's response was 'that employee is no longer with us'. This year, I was told that I needed a $450 repair, as the system could not be switched on again due to failure of the 'pipes and attachments'. I called CTI as there were several instances of miscommunication and appointment mis-alignments. I expressed my dissatisfaction at how the appointment chain and quote for repair was handled, and was told 'that employee is no longer with us. I was a little suspicious about the repair, and got another company to come have a look. Imagine my surprise when I was told that there was nothing wrong, no repairs were needed. The system was switched on without issue."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Franklin, IN

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
