"In April 2026, our broken cast iron pipe needed to be replaced, but we didn’t know how extensive the repair would be. From Angi's referrals, we called Full Swing Plumbing who arranged for Nick, one of their plumbers, to come to our house that same afternoon. Full Swing waived the dispatch fee. Nick used his endoscope camera to see the extent of the problem. (They had a coupon on their site which offered this one-time, free service.) After a couple hours, they were able to identify the problem, present a few solutions, as well as a final estimate before they left that day. We agreed on the approach and set a date for the following week. Nick and his co-worker were friendly, deeply knowledgeable, and hard-working. They communicated well, taking photos for us throughout the process. They cleaned up everywhere, completed the job in one day, and they kept to their price. "The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"I have a Home Warranty with AHS and the Home Warranty company called A-1 Appliance to come out and do my repairs.  A-1 Appliance told my husband many parts were needed and would be ordered and they'd be back in touch to schedule the next visit.
 I heard nothing by 4 days later so I called the AHS and they knew nothing.  It turns out  that A-1 does not work on "sealed systems" but they did not convey that or anything else to my Home Warranty Company who also dropped the ball.  They next called New England Appliance Repair who came right away and also told me they needed many parts.  Instead of waiting days and days, N.E. Appliance expedited the shipment of the parts and they're return to my home so that within a couple of days the repairman Bill was back here repairing not only my refrigerator but my wall oven as well which was way off temperature.  I will tell AHS in the future that I only want to use N.E.A.!"

"When I called Christopher he responded very positively, thanked me for calling, and said that he could come to my house at about 1 pm on the same day. He later called to say he had to change the time to somewhere between 2 and 3 pm. At about 2:30 he called to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived at my house at about 2:45 with his tool bag in hand. Chris was very friendly and upbeat. He went straight to work; pulled the back plates off the refrigerator. After a few minutes he said, "Well I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that the compressor is failing and will probably last only a few more days. The good news is, since it would cost over $400.00 to put a replacement compressor in this unit, you really should be looking at buying a brand new refrigerator. In the long run this will actually be more economically sound than fixing your old one." Chis then went to explain  how current refrigerators are much more efficient than the older models. He even went to far as to go online on his smartphone to try to price refrigerators similar to my old one. He was very thorough and offered options available at used and new outlets.
He let me know that the price for his service call  was $60.00 and that it is about half what other appliance repair shops charge to come to your home.  I was pleased to pay the price for his expertise, honesty, and good advice. 
The main take away is that Chris Gallagher is honest, professional, experienced and, I believe, one who can be trusted to have his customers' best interests at heart. I recommend him enthusiastically.
