"Had multiple jobs that needed done. Replaced water heater, unclogged pipes & replaced rusty pipe. Everything was explained to understanding and work done to perfection. Even repair cement floor that needed jackhammered. All 4 guys that were here for each job was professional, courteous and non-judgmental to my situation. And I wish I would’ve known about them when my pipe Busted in the kitchen last Christmas because the company I got to repair that situation. Left me with a more stressful situation because they didn’t put the counter back or anything left me with another situation that I had to hire someone to come in and put back."

"Zach, his crew Rueben and others, are Great, they replaced my main water line with new copper. We are a corner lot, longer than the norm, they had to pull a 75' line, very tuff job w/many obstructions, utilities and rainy weather. They had a plan, stuck with it, and got it done including clean up in one day. They brought all the necessary tools & supplies with them. KZB, Zack is the best contractor I have ever dealt with, gave me a very fair estimate/price, even though ran into issues, he held the price he quoted me. Could not be any happier AAAAA+++++"

"The team did a great job from the time they came out to look at the old HVAC system, to going through the options with us for repair or replacement. "Kyle is absolutely amazing. He called quickly and came to look at replacing my main sewer line. He had a friend come with to scope the drain and realized they didn't need to replace it. He saved me literally thousands of dollars being an honest and great guy. I would highly recommend him in the future, you know that he won't be trying to take advantage of a bad situation. I'm very glad that I was put in touch with him rather than listening to the national chain plumbing guys that I needed a complete replacement."

"Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was everything I couldâ ve asked for and more. Ethan was so respectful and happy to answer all my questions!! He kept me updated through out the entire process & made sure I was informed of all my options. He definitely showed me he takes pride in his job and his attention to detail in his work shows! He replaced my shower handle stem and handle. Installed a new main water shutoff valve with a pressure regulator valve, and an overflow tank, both of which entailed very restricting and difficult location and placement. Luckily Ethanâ s positive attitude and efficient work relieved the stress of such a big, unexpected repair. Great experience. Absolutely happy with my choice. 100% recommend. 10/10."

"We ended up just replacing our unit since the cost to repair it was more than 50% of the cost of a new one. They were able to get our unit replaced within days and gave us a few bonuses. They were easy to work with and I would recommend them if asked."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Franklin, OH

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
