"Jesse Franco was the installer of the purchased garage door. Jesse called and asked if he could come early to install our door. He arrived promptly and installed the door in about an hour. Jesse took time to explain how to use the door and prevent it from being damaged. He cleaned the area and hauled away our old door. His work exceeded my expectations."

"AGDS showed up on time to replace a chamberlain garage door opener that had died with another chamberlain unit. AGDS also replaced the wiring, rails and sensors that came w/ the new unit. AGDS cleaned up my garage, helped me set up my remote and myQ app on my phone. I'm very pleased with the service."

"Shane at Rolling Garage Doors and Gates installed wood-look, insulated garage doors on our home. Our original doors were in poor condition and were improperly installed to begin with. We wanted to go with fairly high-end doors to improve the appearance of our home. Shane came to our home and reviewed options with us, and helped us select some very nice looking doors. The contract was clearly written and Shane made sure to stay in communication with us through-out the process. The most notable thing about our experience with Shane and his team was their attention to detail. Shane would not rest until everything little thing was perfect, even though this clearly meant extra time and effort on his part, showing a level of attention to detail, technical knowledge, and pride in his work that you don't often see. He also patiently addressed all my questions throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to use Shane again in the future."

"Ordering was very easy They actually wanted to put in the order when i first went in. Unfortunately, my garage isn't standard size so I had some one come out and measure everything. The gentleman was out a day or two later and determined it was an off sized door. Since this was a special order it took a couple weeks to get the door in. This is really ti issue i had. I was told that the door would be in on a monday and they would call me to set up a day to come out as soon as it was in. The week it was supposed to be in there was no call. I figured it would be in the next week. When I did receive a call the next tuesday I cal on wednesday am. Yes the door was in and they were out the next day (thursday). The work was done about 2 or 3 and they carted the old door away. Cost was actually about 40 dollars less than quoted. Over all a great experience with one minor glitch. <br />"

"We wanted a panel with windows for our segmented garage door to let in some natural light.  (There were none in the 10 year old house we'd just purchased.) Impressively, during the inspection before we bought the house, the inspector noted that the garage door was installed well and moved with less resistance than many newly-installed doors (impressive). We contacted Sholes about adding a window panel to our garage door since they included a sticker on the inside of the door (another good sign of a reputable company -- leaving behind contact info on things they've installed). <br /> They let us know that they brand no longer shipped to the West Coast and weren't sure they could get parts. However they looked into it and found that they could get the parts (though they would be more expensive since they had to special order -- about which Sholes was apologetic).  It was still cheaper than installing a completely new door with window panels, we decided to go ahead and purchase the new panel and have Sholes install it. <br /> They let us know that it would be a few weeks before they received the new panel.  Once it arrived, they came out and installed it in a single day, as promised. The new panel is installed perfectly, matches exactly with the existing panels, and the door works exactly as it did before.  They advised me to keep the old panel in case another gets dinged or otherwise damaged.  They even threw in for free some frame inserts for the windows (since they had some extras, and, as I mentioned previously, that brand doesn't distribute out here any longer).   <br /> Couldn't speak more highly of this local, family-owned business.  Thanks again, Sholes!  We'll definitely work with you again if we ever need garage door work -- and will recommend you to anyone else who does too. <br />"

"The young guy who did the work was prompt and professional, but not well trained. He power washed my patio BEFORE blowing the leaves and sticks off my roof, so all the debris landed on my just cleaned patio, and he didn't follow up to clean it off. <br /> He forgot to do the garage door and was all packed up when he asked me to inspect, so I just let it ride. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Pretty well overall. First team was on time and performed estimate. Several different teams had to visit site to complete the job. One team had only a motor but not springs. Another had springs but no motor. Neither had correct control button. Final team needed to adjust springs put in by first team, but eventually installation completed."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Frazier Park, CA

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
